I had this done by my bariatric surgeon. He did tighten the underlying muscles. Flatten stomach but left dog ears, which were removed by plastic surgeon during liposuction.
I did not find the procedure to be painful. Not much discomfort and I healed extremely fast. I am happy I did this.
