The top part of my stomach is very swollen and hard.. Is this normal? Im having.second thoughts? I feel my mustles moving and getting tighter to the point where I cant move,.. Plz advise ladies

Hey, I'm just a few days ahead of you, on 6/12 I thought I was going to explode on fri and Sat until I finally had a bm. I feel amazingly better, it will pass.....walking was my saviour. even though it hurts the back it helps get things moving. keep drinking and walking and when you finally start moving stuff through your intestines properly you will feel SO much better! hang in there

It's still gonna swell but it didn't feel as tight like I was gonna burst. When I get that swelling I lay down with my feet up and ice it with a compress and it feels better never goes completely away it just feels much better.

Thanks ladies, @Ruthyb, im on day 5and its getting harder n harder, @dwaynedajun, after your bowel movement, did your stomach still swell up? This is really bothering me, the top part of my stomach seems abnormal...

The swelling is normal. I am still super swollen. And in my flank area on both sides it's really hard too. Try massaging the area very gently. I have been doing that for the past few days and it seems to help a little. I go back to the surgeon on Tuesday and hopefully he will tell me all the swelling and hard areas are normal. Yeah....the top part of my tummy feels the strangest....like I got hit with a baseball bat...that is where they stretched the most though....my suture is still pretty numb...tingly at times. I still haven't had a BM...day 6. Ugh.

Yeah that's normal Mz Carla u will feel much better once u have a BM that's gas Ur feeling drink apple juice and take ur stool softner I had a BM on the 3 rd day and it wasn't nothin nice but u will feel better.

Mz Carla thanks for your review and sharing. I hope you are doing well. My TT is Aug 9th. I'm ready to be rid if my belly too and feel like my belly reflects how I feel inside which is a beautiful me. I'm requesting anti nausea Meds in my IV. Staying one night in hospital too.

Whoa, they only gave you codine!!? Wow. You should call and ask for something stronger. I had nucynta and it didn't do much for me. I requested something stronger at my PO appointment and they gave me Percocet. It has made all the difference. I can actually function. I'm praying that you get the relief you need. I can't wait to see your after pictures! :)

My doc gave me promethezine to help with nausea...percocet was the worst, but my vicodin made me nauseaus as well. I had my tt on 6/11...so right before you! Day 6 today...feeling okay...getting stir crazy tho! Want to do things for myself, but can't really. UGH! hope you are doing better....I also had breast lift without implants (they look great!) and liposuction. The tt is the craziest/worst tho!

Percs work the best......make sure u stay up on your Mede until u feel better after the third day u will be ok...hang in there.....

Hope everything goes great dr gelman did my surgery also 6/11/2012 and he is awesome even though I'm super swollen I'm still amazed at the result. Good luck
