At my consultation the surgeon asked me if I had a certain cup size in mind? The reason for this question was so that he could make sure to explain to me that the "idea of cup size" is not always the correct way to view the surgery realistically. I explained to him that I had no cup size expectations. I just wanted them filled in a little, balanced, and BEAUTIFUL. I decided on saline implants and I definitely got what I wanted and then some. I am so pleased!!! The down side to my surgery was when I had a bad reaction to the medication they used to put me under. This also could've been a mix of things, like taking pain meds too early without nausea meds after getting back to the hotel (no fault to anyone my body just wasn't happy). I was up and moving nicely on day 3, but I didn't dare lift anything other than bottled water or simple things like shampoo bottles. When they say don't lift anything over 5 lbs, that's exactly what they mean!!! And ABSOLUTELY NO VACUUMING for 4 weeks!!! For me it was my muscle relaxers that helped more than my pain meds, so after the 3rd day I just started using over the counter Tylenol in the mornings and then maybe the afternoons if I was really sore and the rest of the time I would just use my muscle relaxers. Oh yes, and lots ice packs and rubbing when advised.

Meeting with Dr. Christopher Pelletiere was a pleasant experience. I was comfortable with him as soon as he walked in the office to greet me. He has a great sense of humor and he actually listens to your concerns. He and his staff were available at anytime to answer questions and they assured you that asking anything was okay. Most of the communication is through email (with prompt responses) unless it is something more serious that needs to be addressed and that of course would be with a phone conversation or immediate office visit.
