Soreness Has Tapered

The soreness is still there, but it's not nearly as bad as it was. I'm doing really well! Before the weekend it wasn't the easiest to move around. Over the weekend I went up to Seattle for my high school reunion. It forced me to be a lot more active than I was and I honestly think it helped. I think it's a combination of stretching from normal everyday movements and also reminding my body what it needs to do.

I went back to work yesterday and I felt great! I got a little tired towards the end of the day, but I was up later than I should have been the night before. My body wasn't tired and I'm a Realtor that is out in the field. My scars are looking great! I put aloe vera straight from the plant on them yesterday. It felt so good and I'm hoping it'll help the scars fade quicker. I'm also using Bio Oil that has fantastic reviews for scar reduction.

My next post-op is scheduled for October. Unless something crazy happens before, I'll post again after that appointment.

Breasts are fine, but around is SO sore!

Everything is going great. I had my two week post-op appointment yesterday. They said everything looks great. It's confirmed that my stitches are healed, or at least almost. She said in about a week they will be 100% without a doubt healed. Which is good to hear. I have Bio Oil that I would like to start using on the scars. I also got the go ahead to start lightly working out (yoga, pilates, etc), but I can't do extensive workouts (running, bootcamps) until the 6 week mark. So one more month to go.

Everything looks really great and I'm super happy with my results, however, this past few days I've noticed intense soreness underneath my breasts. It's about one inch underneath the incision lines. It's not the fun soreness that comes after working out. It feels more sore in the same way bruises do. Just very, very painful. The surgical bra has been rolling up into that area since the first day and to be honest I think that's what's causing the pain.

When rolled up it's just a hard piece of fabric digging into my upper ribcage. Yesterday I was told that I can wear "yoga bra's" every once in a while to give myself a break from the surgical bra. I think I'm going to do that starting today because this is really painful. Whenever I slightly bend over it's like someone is pressing down HARD on a bruise. Youch! I'll let you know how it goes once I switch bra's.

Itchy & Sensitive!

The past couple of days my nipples have been suuuuper sensitive. You know when you have a sensitive tooth and you touch something cold to it? It sort of feels like that. It's not as if my bra is moving around a bunch, but man they are sensitive. It's not the areola either. It's strictly the nipple.

And the incision lines underneath my breasts have started getting itchy. Other than that I've been doing really well. Every once in a while I'll get a sharp shooting pain in either breast. It maybe happens two or three times a day. I think it's just a reality check to remind me that I am indeed still healing. I've started working from home as of yesterday and will continue to do so until Sept 15th. A few days ago I felt like I could possibly go back earlier. Now, I'm happy to have the time.

I also found out that I have dissolvable stitches. I'm happy about that! I go into the doctor next week and I didn't want to have the pain of getting them removed. Because I was so large before my doctor said they'd look a bit boxy for some time until they drop more and round out. I'm happy she told me that because they were/are boxy as hell! I think they're starting to drop. They feel softer. They were ROCK hard (especially the top of my breast) the first 3 or 4 days. I imagine from the lift.
