DR Cortes--Jan or Feb 2015 Read update looking for travel buddies!!

ok, so its been a while since I updated my review. I have been talked out of this procedure by friends and started working out like a mad woman in hopes that maybe my body could change and I wouldnt need this surgery. After a summer of working my butt off and seeing no change I definitely feel like this surgery is needed. I think about it all the time and after seeing several other girl friends of mines results Im like I need to get this done to feel complete. I was considering going to the DR for surgery, as some of my other friends have, but two of my friends that went suffered complications when they returned home, 1 had to be hospitalized so for the sake of my health I have decided not to venture to the DR. I have found the doctor I am going to go to and his name is Dr Cortes in Houston, TX. I have seen results of women he has done with similar body types as mine and I think he will do me right. Also there is no limit on the amount of fat that can be lipo'd at one time in texas so he can take as much as he needs to give me the butt that I want. I even saw where he told a girl with the same height and weight as me to gain weight in order to acheive the results she wanted! I was like REALLY?! I am currently 5'11 and I weigh about 238. All my weight is in my thighs and lower stomach. THe results I am looking for is to have my body look like Emily B, Sultry Simone, and Deelishes to name a few. I dont want to gain any more weight though, personally I feel that i have enough fat all over that he can suck me dry LOL.I sent an email for a consult and got an immediate response to send in my pics which I am going to do later when I get home. I know I am looking at spending almost $10k but I have already been approved for care credit so financing this surgery wont be an issue. I found out how to request the amount of days I need off at work as well, which has been a major hurdle for me seeing as I didnt want to use all my vacation days recovering. I plan to stay in Houston for 10 days but be off of work for two weeks. I want to get this done either Jan or Feb 2015 so I can have enough time to recover and get back in the gym and get everything toned and tight by summer so people wont be too surprised by the change. My job is offering unlimited OT now so i have been working like a mad woman to pay off my current debts so I can start saving my own money for surgery, supplies, hotel and travel. My boyfriend said he would come with me to help me while I recovery but I would love to have a travel a buddy to split cost with and also possibly split the cost of nurse to come help instead of bringing my boyfriend. I know it gets bloody and I can be a bit of [RS bleep] when I am in pain so I really dont want him to see me in that state. I would prefer to go and come back and he see the finished results. My bestie said she would go but I would have to pay her the money she would lose at work and pay for her to come and expenses. She is on a really fixed income so I understand why she would need that so she is out, and my mom wont be able to get that many days off from work so she is out as well. Either way it goes this is happening between Jan and Feb of next year. I will be updating my journey so that you guys can get an insight. I will also put some pics up later when I get home. Anybody looking to go to Cortes between those months? I have found a two bedroom two bath condo in the Galleria area that is reasonable.

Ok so I have been researching this procedure for two years and I had an appointment with Dr Salama scheduled for earlier this year, paid the deposit and everything, but I couldnt get the time off and I just kept having second thoughts. I am glad I didnt go through with it because I have now been introduced to Dra Duran. I am a bit leery about going to the DR for surgery but the reviews I have read are good and I am determined to go. Plus the price is much better than the $8000 that Dr Salama quoted me.

I will be going alone so I am now starting to buddy up with ladies who are interested in going around the same time. My boyfriend knows why I am going and he is very supportive, but I think its mainly because he cant wait for me to look like a video vixen LOL. My mom on the other hand I know she will not support me leaving the country for this. She was going to go with me to Aventura for Salama but if I tell her I want to go out the country I know she will be totally against it and will try to talk me out of it. So as of right now I am not going to tell her. I will tell her that I am taking a vaca with friends to the DR but I wont tell her I am having surgery until I return. My boyfriend will know the truth just in case.

I have sent my request for a quote to Duran 3 days ago by email and facebook and havent heard a reply yet. I am hoping to get a Tummy Tuck, lipo (thighs included) and BBL. I am in a discussion group on FB about Duran and from what I read its easier to heal from the TT than the LIPO...Go figure. I am currently 5'11 and 238 pounds. I have gained weight over this summer due to my addiction to dairy queen LOL but I am on phentermine and eating clean and also walking everyday so I should drop down to my normal 195-200 pounds. I dont want to lose more weight because I want her to have a lot to work with because I want my butt to be huge. Mainly because I know of absorption, and I dont plan on doing this a second time so Im going big!! Ladies who have had this done before how long did you stay? How was the flight home afterwards? What pain killers did she prescribe after? How long before you returned back to work? And for the ladies who are going alone how was that like?
