“Chemical peel smoothed out my face.”

Chemical peel: Worth it

Cost: $700
Pain: Uncomfortable
Chemical peel satisfaction: Excellent5 Star Rating: Excellent

I recently had a chemical peel done and it has smoothed out my face so much. I got a tca peel done and it was pretty good. The TCA was used for a meduim depth peeling, since my skin was pretty bad. After using several acne creams, my skin was quite burnt and scarred and there were a lot of wrinkles. My skin was dry, chapped and in a bd shape. Chemical peel cleaned my face alot and the acne scars have become really light. I got 2 TCA peels done, over a period of 5 months. At first i had thought of getting a phenol peel, but when i heard that phenol bleaches the skin permanently into a ghostly white, i decided to go for a milder procedure. Tca was a good choice and after a little tingling, burning and peeling, my skin became very smooth and clear. I got it done on my face and neck so that the pigmentation stays the same on both. I didn't want a different colored face and a different colored neck, so i got it done on both.

The healing was very quick, about 3 weeks and the pain was very mild. I was told to use sunblock regularly and even now after 5 months, i still use sunblock regularly, and that too a high spf just to be safe. The neutrogena ones are very good. The whole process takes about twenty minutes The flaking and dryness lasted for 2 weeks but was not that noticable at work. My new skin underneath is very smooth and fresh and so is my neck. I love it.
