I cant afford the UK prices. Has anyone had this done abroad please and can recommend someone?

I just found out its a minimum of 8k to have this op done alone in the UK and I can't find that sort of money. So i am going to have to go abroad which concerns me purely because of the aftercare - I don't think it will be a smooth op and need to be sure I will get the best aftercare. Does anyone have experience of a great surgeon abroad?

I have huge overhang at the front and am diabetic...

I have huge overhang at the front and am diabetic type 2, have sleep apnoea and am now an ex smoker as I just gave up to have this operation done. I have good muscle tone but an awful lot to cut off - primarily where I injected insulin into the same part of my body for so many years, its all lumpy and bumpy and I so want it to be flat. It will solve a lot of my other problems and will make it much easier to exercise and move around without dragging this huge lump in the front of me all the time.

Provider Review

Ms Anita Hazari

Very thorough. Seems very capable and very professional. Didn't hurry me, listened to my expectations and reasons for doing this, and examined me thoroughly. I am aware that diabetics are slow to heal and that the healing process is crucial so I am now taking multi vitamins with pro biotics, zinc and selenium. Eating coloured veg/fruit, pineapple for bromelain, and sprinkling almonds and walnuts, cinammon and nutmeg and coconut onto pro biotic yoghurts which makes them a lot more interesting, and using Bulgar wheat and lentils in my curries. Leafy dark green cabbage and broccoli are now on the menu and low fat everything so I can lose 10 kilos before the op. I want to give myself the best chance possible of not only surviving the op but having a less difficult few weeks afterwards. Of course I couldn't be more scared but have wanted this all my life, and the nhs have now refused me three times, so have decided to put it on a credit card and be done with it. If I go to prison for debt, at least I will go with a flat stomach!!
