In 1983 I had breast implants put in. My Dr. at that time took out some cysts, and recommended the implants. I went from an A to B. In late 1997, I think the left breast had hardened that it became very sore. The left implant finally broke out of the capsule, I have silcone implants. Now silcone is in body. Don't have the money for removal.I have a big clump of silcone coming out of my left breast almost to my breast bone. The Dr. told me once the silcone hits the blood stream you could die. My life really ssucks now. Constant pain.

My implants were out on top of the muscle. I have insurance, but I have never found a Dr. that will accept. I was told I have to find another Dr. go through all the the procedures, mamograms, etc. then the Dr. will have to send another report to the insurance company. I have already done this once. I live in Naples FL. now and a plastic surgeon told me I could't afford Naples go to Miami. I was also told it would be better if I had breast cancer, so then he would take them out.

Nothing new to report. I have not found a Doctor...

Nothing new to report. I have not found a Doctor that will remove the implants without paying up front. I still live in pain and the silcone has moved closer to the middle of my chest.

Have you asked the doctors if they have financing plans? I remember my original PS having that option. I am wondering if you could refer me to a doctor in the area that will explant at a reasonable price. I also live in the Charleston area.

I moved from WV to Florida approx. 11 years ago. I know live in Naples FL. I don't know any Dr's in Charleston anymore. I tried to get in touch with one I knew but he never returned my call. I have checked on financing, but I am retired living on a pension and had to file bankruptcy 2 years ago, so I don't think I could get a loan. A Dr. in Naples told me If I had breast cancer he could remove them. I do know that I was told if the silicon gets into the blood stream it will kill you. I do remember a Dr. Andy Stewart that put in implants but I don't know if he still lives in Charleston. Check the phone book. Private 50.

Andrew Stewart is still in West Virginia. His office is in Kanawha City. I am going to call Monday to see if they can give me an approximate cost for removal without a lift or anything else. I am so sorry to hear of your problem. It seems crazy to me that insurance can't help until there is something like cancer. It is very sad. I have no idea how much removal would be. Maybe the answer is to keep looking to find someone to do it cheap. I visited 2 doctors 6 years ago, but both wanted to put another set of implants in. That is not what I want. I did not pursue explanting any further at that time. In your situation I wish a doctor would step up and help. Your in my prayers! Thank you for giving me that name.

I hope Dr. Stewart can help you. I met him through another Dr. who was a friend of mine when I lived in Charleston. His name is Dr. Allen, but he doesn't do implants. Jenny

Did you go see Dr. Stewart, and what did he tell you. Any prices?

I made an appoinmtment to see Daniel Wood in Charleston and Stephen Miller in Huntington. Andrew Stewart is still there. He was one of the most expensive. I have not ruled him out though. I thought I would see what the other Doctors said first. My first consult is tommorrow!

Michelleinwv, This is Naples 4473, I gave you Andy Stewart's name. I still have made no progress in finding someone to remove my implants. I know Daniel Wood, but not Stephen Miller. I am friends with Lee Allen, but he doesn't do implants, he is a good friend of Andy's. My problem is I don't have the up front money and cannot take out a loan. My right breast is very sore, and silicon is everywhere. Please keep me informed. I don't know if we can use our own e-mail, but mine is jennyrush6@yahoo.com.
