“Wow I Can't Believe I'm Doing This - Catersville, GA”
Spent: $14,500 in Catersville, GA
Posted 22 Jun 2011
Tomorrow I go for my pre-op appointment and then hospital for blood work. Tomorrow! I have so much still to do in the next two weeks including pack the kids for sleep away camp. And just realized I should go to my OB/GYN before surgery so that I will have a year in between appointments instead of being stitched all over.
I am doing a BL/BR and tummy tuck for my 40th birthday! Very exciting, but very nervous about it all. So much anxiety about surgery, just trying to stay too busy to think and worry. Actually how I found this site with some middle of the night Internet searches on recovery. Imagine many out there found RealSelf the same way.
So many questions for tomorrow that I hope I remember to ask them all. Must remember to ask for anxiety medication.
Some others:
Nausea patch
Scar cream and/or tape
How many pillows?
Heating pad or ice packs?
No one told me to stop drinking wine!
Only meet w/ nurse tomorrow. How will dr. know what I want?
Do I need to buy a mumu or maternity clothes?
Allergic to percocet
Hospital check out time
When I can I have my lap top on my stomach while in bed, like I'm doing right now?
4 weeks from surgery DH has big industry event, can I handle this?
5 weeks from surgery have back-to-school set up duties which are mildly physical, can I handle this?
Hoping that I will know a lot more after my appointment tomorrow.

My Doctor: name not provided
Too soon for sure, but such a genuine and kind person, in addition to Chief of Plastic Surgery at hospital.

I hope your appointment went well and that you were able to have all of your questions answered. I bet you are getting totally excited now:)
Keep us all up to date and don't forget about the pre and post op pictures. Even if you don't want to post them on line; at least have them for your own fun in watching the changes take place.
