Tummy Tuck and Brest Lift Combo - Castle Hill, AU

After childbirth and a 25kg weight loss i was left...

After childbirth and a 25kg weight loss i was left with a large apron of skin hanging over my lower belly. My breasts were also affected by weight gain and loss. i was happy with the amount of breast tissue which was a c cup, just not happy that when I took of my bra they hang so low. I was 32 years old and fit but the way my body looked did to match the way I felt inside.
The day of my procedure went very smoothly, the procedure was done at Westmead private hospital,I fasted as you do with all general anaesthetics, I was admitted by the hospital staff (who were all very supportive) I met the anaesthesiologist who works with Dr Lim, he was great. It was my first general and he made me feel very safe, Then Dr Lim did his markings on my body, then I was out and woke up a new me. Pain management was intravenous morphine initially then strong oral pain medication then paracetamol.
As for results, I am so happy, it is better then I could ever have hoped for, Dr Lim truly has magic hands, he has taken my sags and droops and made me perky and flat tummied again.

Sydney Plastic Surgeon

Dr Lim was recommended to me by a friend who is a nurse and from my very first consultation i knew that Dr lim was the dr for me. Dr Lim and his staff were always professional, trustworthy and very supportive and at every stage of this experience i felt safe an informed. Dr Lim and his staff were there to answer any question I had, from minor details right through to major decisions Post surgery Dr lim visited me every day while I was in hospital, and once discharged his nurse called to check up on me. Dr Lims nurses and receptionists are friendly, welcoming and supportive, and exactly what a person needs when taking a big step like plastic surgery. From beginning to end my experience could not have been any better.

Did you do a lift without implants? I love your boobs, would do the lift if I knew I could get results like your's without implants. I am also a DDD/F cup but saggy and deflated :(

Wow, great results. We have similar shapes( before your transformation) I short like you and need a BL. I'm leaning towards no implants. Boobs have to wait till next year. But for now my focus is the TT, just 10 days away on the 18th? Did u have any lipo? Your waistline looks great.

Hi Steph No I didn't have any lipo in my surgery, I think the good result is from having a strong core, I have always had a strong tummy muscles and obliques and I think that is why I was so happy with the outcome I'm so exited for you. I hope u hav a great experience, like I did xxx

Hi, Wow! You're results are fantastic! I have a consult booked with dr lim and a couple of other surgeons in 9weeks for a full lower body lift and a Breast lift. I would love to hear more about your experience with dr lim as I'm feeling like finding a surgeon is the hard part! I'm up in the air with wether to get implants or just the lift but I will say your lift is one of the best results I have ever seen without implants. Just wondering has there been much change over time with swelling going down and also wondering how you're scars have healed and matured?? Thank you so much for sharing your story it has been very helpful x

Hi Kel1321 It's been a full year and and I'm still loving dr lims work. I do have scars but I am much happier with my scars then being baggy :) The scars are still fading and on my breasts especially around the nipple u can hardly see them at all. The tummy tuck ones are more noticeable because dr lim pulled the skin awesomely tight for a really flat tummy but that puts the scar under stress so stay hunched over while u heal to minimise 'stretching the scar'. All my scars can be hidden under a bikini if I wanted to rock one of those. I went in knowing I would have scars but they are clean and tidy and dr lim does great lines I don't feel disfigured at all and am pretty proud of them, I have been know to pull my jeans down a little at parties when someone starts showing of surgical scars.... All my best buddies hav seen my boobs b4 and after and think dr lim had magic hands :) Also just a bit of background on my boobs, u know that thing little thing vanity... Well pre kids I loved my boobs they were a full c cup perky and great, then mother nature decided I needed to learn a lesson and while lactating decided to fill them up to a f, then after kids took the boob back but left me the skin, so I had c cup tissue in f cup skin so dr lim helped the skin match my boob size again....., hope that helps with the boob question So to sum if I had the choice of knowing the outcome b4 I did it I would do it all again in a flash, the boob scars hav faded more then the belly but that is normal and I can easily live with the scars I have Good luck and say hi to dr lim for me, he really is an awesome dr xxx

Thank you soooo much for ur fast reply. I have been leaning towards dr lim from day one mainly because my bariatric surgeon refers to him. My bra size is currently 12dd but I've still got more weight to lose and worried they will shrink more, they are just sooo droopy, I've always had decent size boobs but they honestly don't feel like a dd at all as they're so deflated. It's been an ongoing discussion between my husband and I about implants or not??? He wantse to have them and I don't as ling as I can maintain a full c to d without them. As I said still got more weight to lose about 10-15kg and I'm not planing on surgery til December (even tho I want it yesterday!) just want to make sure I've done as much research as possible. I'm consulting with 2 other surgeons too. Did you see anyone else? What made you decide on dr lim?

I was recommended dr lim from a friend who's sister is a nurse and she said all the nurses go to dr lim for boobs. I only saw lim I was really happy with my 1st appt and didn't bother seeing anyone other drs. I think u should talk to dr lim about your concerns, I was a bit unsure too but he knows boobs and body shape and will recommend what would be best for you. I am taking a few pics of my scars to post so u can see how it's healing, I will post them in a couple of mins :)

They are great! Thankyou so much. I'm fairly confident with the scarring as I had a c-sec 5 years ago and my scar from that is barely visible at all! And as you say yourself the scar is a good trade off for getting rid of all the extra skin and flab! How was the healing process? How much time did you need off work? I have 4 children, youngest is 5 so they're all reasonably self sufficient but just wondering how long I might be out of action?? I'm sure dr will answer all the questions I'm bombarding you with but I don't see him for 9 weeks, it's gonna kill me waiting til dec for the actual surgery!!!

Lol relax I'm happy to help, my youngest was 5 when i had mine too, and organised the surgery to fall right b4 Christmas so I had the Christmas holidays to rest up and not hav to take the kids to school and also my hubby has holidays at Christmas as his office closes down so I had him home for a few weeks too. I am pretty fit and a high pain tolerance so I think I had a better then average recovery, I was up and out of bed b4 ppl who had the same surgery the day b4 I did. it did hurt I won't pretend it didn't but I was too excited to care, one of the side effects I didn't know about was, I couldn't eat properly for about a week cos I had so much pressure in my tummy area, I could only eat a few mouthfuls b4 I would get really uncomfortable but it was only temporary. I don't think you could work for around 4 weeks even in an office job. I was only casual so didn't interfere with work I just told them when I was ready to go back, I started back at gym at 6 weeks very slowly doing spin classes then after a few months weights but no abs for around 6 months, I'm back doing it all, boxing class, pump, karate, and spin accept last week I tore my calf muscle in a few places so in moon boot for 6 weeks :( and its more painful then the tummy tuck (the boobs don't hurt as much as tummy tuck at all) Hope that helps, but pain is relative eg both my sister and I had c sections and she was in a lot of pain where as I was ok. Also I had 8 days in hospital including Christmas Day and the house was a mess when I came home, so guess who had to tidy up all the toys and paper....... Me :)

That's same reason I'm wanting December, I work full time and my work closes for 3weeks plus then I can have the extra time home with kids and not have to get them babysat. Also gives me the time to reach my goal weight and stabilize a few months before surgery. Gotta love that they wait for you to come home to clean up lol! I'm lucky I have 2 older girls (17,15) so they will be really helpful and supportive and hubby can tAke the two little ones out as he's off over Christmas new year period as well. He's helpful with the kids nt so much with the cleaning :P I'm such a sook with pain very low pain tolerance but I want this soooo bad I'm hoping the excitement and anticipation will get me thru and up as quick as possible. I didn't realize it would be so long without ab work... We're you extra cautious or were you advised 6m? I generally do 2 core 3pump 2 body attack 2 body combat 1 step classes a week plus walk 40min 5 days a week. I'll also be starting a high intensity interval training class once a week in the next month, I've heard that gives great results... I'm worried about loosing my fitness and strength... :( I've heard others say about the reduced eating... I've had a sleeve so already eat very little so wondering how that will effect me?? One other question is how's your flexibility after a year, so any people have commented about the tightness and not being able to bend from torso side to side back and forward, are you completely normal after a year?? I understand it being tight straight after and for some time but just wondering if you can get a good stretch or if you're restricted by the skin being so tight?

Great that u hav older ones to help mine were, 9, 7 and 5 at this time and did what they could but that wasn't very much. I waited a while for abs.... I forgot to mention the most painful part of op for me was the rejoining of my abs, not the skin being pulled , And I really didn't want to pull out those internal stitches because that's what helps give the nice flat look, I started small and slow and built my way back up. As for tightness... Well pre op I could still do a backbend post op... No way. After a year I would say I probly hav the flexibility of a normal 30 something year old , but that is the least flexible I hav ever been. By 12 months post op I can lean back and side to side no problem... But found it hard to even lay on my atomic and lift my chest for months. But once again I would hav to put it in the totally worth it basket and not having a negative impact on me at all. So to sum up, really tight to begin with (missed being able to wake up and hav a good stretch... Totally lessons over time to Average persons flexibility.....But no more backbends for me anymore Btw luv your work out routine :)

Yeah never really liked exercise much which is prib a big contributing factor to why I have been overweight most of my adult life. I was so unhappy with myself hence getting the sleeve and even though that helped with the initial weight loss I need the exercise for fitness and also to continue to lose and then to maintain plus to my surprise I love it! I feel stronger my body shape is changing and I just want to be as fit and healthy as possible leading up to surgery so I have the best recovery possible. This is a whole new life for me and I'm loving it!!! Thanks a million for being so helpful I will be in touch after my consult with dr lim and if you think of anything you think I might need to know send me a msg xox

Hi I know it's been a while since ur surgery was just wondering how happy u r with ur scars and how they've healed?? I have an appt for a consult with dr lim and a few others in 9weeks for a lower body lift and breast lift and I'm still undecided about implants aswell??? You lift is one of the best I have ever seen without implants. I would love to hear more about your experience with dr lim, I think choosing a surgeon is possibly one of the hardest parts! You look amazing! You didn't get implants, right? Such a great lift! I had implants removed and look a bit like your before. After I have my kids, I think I'm hoisting the girls! Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration. :-)

Thanks, and yeah just a lift no implants, what those photos don't show is I'm only 152cm that's just 5 foot, dr lim, my best friend and I played around with implants in the drs office but even the smallest one looked too big for me and i do heaps of sport and I think they would have gotten in the way. Hope u are able to hoist when u are ready and don't be nervous, if u have a good dr everything will be fine. Good luck :)
