Im writing this review because when thinking about...

Im writing this review because when thinking about having a breast enlargement I looked online for advice and couldn't find as much as I needed. So im hoping that this will help anyone who is thinking of having it done. Firstly, just to say it was the best thing I have ever done.

I went for my first consultation on the 14/06/14, it was with a lovely lady called Anne-Louise. I took my mother with me and we had a lot of questions written down to ask, but by the time Ann-Louise had gone through everything she had to, all the questions had been answered which was really good. We discussed costs, sizes, payments etc. She gave me information on the 3 surgeons i could choose from, which were Dr Lutz, Dr Nathan and Dr Khan. I went away from the consultation feeling really happy and confident in everything I had been told.
The next step was an appointment with the surgeon, which I had on the 14/07/14. I chose Mr khan based on the information i was given on him. As of 2013 he had done over 9000 breast enlargements, so i felt safe with his experience. Mr Khan asked what size I wanted to go to and I said a C cup, he showed me 2 different types of implants, the CUI implant and the Natrelle. I chose the Natrelle implants as they felt a lot nicer and they seem to be a lot better made. Mr khan then showed me the exact size implant I would be having- 310cc. As I am a nosey person I asked him what the next size implant would be and his reply was 'I can show you but I will not put it in you as you are too small'. I am a size 6 on top and very small, so i valued his honesty and felt safe that he wasnt going to make me look ridiculous. I found Mr Khan to be very straight forward, he knew what he was talking about and was very reassuring. He will not pander to you as this is your decision not his. He was very pleasant and friendly and answered all the questions that i had. Straight from Mr Khans office I went to see Ann louise again, basically they want to know if your interested so they can book you in. I got offered dates as soon as 10-14 days later but as i work full time I needed a bit more notice, so i booked in for august 3rd 2014. I had to pay a deposit to secure the date which i didnt have on me at the time but Ann louise was very helpful and did it over the phone for me when i returned home that evening.

My next appointment was with the nurse just for a health check on 21/07/14. They ask medical history and do all of the relevant checks for MRI, blood etc (if necessary). I paid the rest of the balance on this day and that was it... all booked and ready. I was so excited.

I was counting down the days and it was getting closer and closer, i was googling absolutely everything and getting really excited. My best friend drove me up to the hospital in Brentford, London. Lovely hospital, really clean and peaceful. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful and they kept me at ease the whole time. I got shown by one of the nurses to my private room which was very spacious and pleasant. I was given my gown, paper knickers and special medical stockings and a menu for the meals for lunch, dinner and breakfast the next day. The selection was amazing and so was the quality, My friend that came with me was even able to order her own food at a cost. Everything was brought on time, if they said your dinner would be there at 6.30 it was there on the dot!
Next was a visit from my nurse, she checked my blood pressure and oxygen levels. she asked me if i had any questions and assured me that everything was going to be okay. Then was a visit from the anaethasist, he explained what he was going to do, how it would feel and what would happen. And then Mr Khan the surgeon came to see me, wrote the implant size on my chest and read through some information with me.

Next thing I knew it was time to go, I didnt have time to panic or get anxious as everyone was so friendly and reassuring. A lovely nurse walked me up to theatre and at that point i was getting quite scared as I'd never had an operation before or been put to sleep, but she was quick to make me feel better. The surgeon and his team were all really helpful and helped me stay calm. they made sure I was happy and knew what was going on every second of the way.
So, this was it, i was led on the operating table and I was just about to be put to sleep, it all happened so quickly- one minute i was talking to the nurse and the next, Im waking up and being wheeled down a corridor back to my room, I didnt feel groggy or tired, as soon as i woke up i was fine, no pain at all, just a bit restricted in my movements. I was taken back to my room and looked at the time and i had literally been gone 1 hour...1 HOUR- thats all! It was so quick and straight forward, no complications.
The nurse then went and got my friend from the waiting room, where she said the staff had been really helpful and made her refreshments. The nurses couldnt do enough for you, anything you wanted they would get for you. They asked if i was ready for my lunch and surprisingly i was hungry so within 30 mins they brought me a sandwich, sald and crisps and some juice, and the same for my friend. In my room there was a television with freeview so plenty to watch.

The nurses came to check on me regularly to make sure I felt comfortable and not in any pain, also to check my blood pressure and oxygen levels, which were checked repeatedly during my stay.
My friend was allowed to stay until 9pm and could return anytime after 8am the next morning.
The staff were lovely though, even when my friend had left they would come in and chat to me and would really take the time to make me feel comfortable and happy.
My nights sleep went well, no pain at all- just a bit strange at first to be sleeping up right.
Waking up the next morning and i still wasnt in any pain, i got up and got ready to go home, and then was brought my breakfast at around 7.30am.
I just had to wait for the doctor to come round and check me over and then i could go. I was given Anti-biotics (3 day course) and pain killers to go home with.
The drive home was fine, still no pain or any sickness.
I was told not to drive for 7 days, so basically just relax. Its best to have someone at home for you to help with certain things, getting you dressed, lifting etc. Within the first 24 hours, the nurse calls you to check how your feeling and see if you have any questions, which at that time i didnt. The first 2 days were completely fine, just restricted movement.
Day 3 was probably the worst in all honesty, i dont know if it was the anaesthetic wearing off or the anti biotics but i felt quite nauseous and tired. I couldn't stay awake longer than half hour all day. i was awake for 3 hours in total for the whole day. The hospital give you an emergency number to ring if you have any problems, at this point I thought it would be best to call them as I wasnt sure if this was normal. I spoke to a nurse who assured me that it was completely fine and to call back if i felt the same the next day. I woke up the next day though feeling fine, all the nauseousness had gone and i was on the mend.
I only used the pain killers for the first day, as i wasnt in pain, just had a bit of a headache. Any aches were bearable and i was so happy with the results.
You have an appoint scheduled 10-14 days after your op with the nurse to get the bandages removed, this was the first time of seeing them properly as they were partly bandaged before, i couldnt stop smiling, they look amazing. The scars were so small, roughly just over an inch each.

Its now been 3 weeks since the operation and i feel amazing and they look great. best thing i have ever done. It was something i had always wanted done and Im so glad that I did it.

If any of you have any questions then feel to ask.

hope this all helps
