2 weeks post op

2 weeks post op :)

I cant believe it has been 2 weeks already.. It definitely has been an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. You find out who is really there for your support and your needs. With this type of surgery, you need all the support you can get. I am not someone to call on anyone for my own reasons however being as difficult as it was I had to do it, and thankfully I had someone there for my needs.

Here are a few pictures of my two week mark. Again I know I have been really slack.. but my children get my focus first then I'm to damn tired for anything else haha

Monday June 8th 2015

So I have been soo slack with this and I am very sorry. I just haven't had much time. I am going to try and add as much detail as possible to my next couple of post but please if you have questions I'll answer.

My drains were removed last Monday June 1st 2015. I can honestly say I have never had pain until yesterday. There was always discomfort and nusence but never pain from my incision or belly button. I have been up moving around since day 2 once I was home.  Mind you I was no where near my normal self. I didn't do anything for the first 3 days. The more I moved the better I felt. We are now on day 12 and I've slowly changed our routines back. Hubby had to go back to work on day 7 so we didn't really have a choice per say. I have yet to carry my toodler or tried to pick him up in or out of his crib. My best friend just happens to be a neighbor, and has been nothing but the best.. Our baby monitor that I still use quite frequently ???? has come in handy more then ever. We have it set up so that the base is in our master bedroom on the nightstand and my Bf has the other base. For the first 3 days while hubby was back he would get the boys up and showered and our oldest out the door for school and bring our toddler next door and there on the bed all propped up in pillows and blankets with earplugs in and my night mask on is where I would stay for the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon until my oldest came home from school. Once he comes home we have 3 and half hours til hubby gets home. Bf would keep our toddler at her house for the morning his nap and lunch which was a terrific help much appreciated.

SMOKING during recovery..

I am so nervous now that I am home. I don't feel a lot of pain. Last night when I decide to get out of bed walk down 2 flights of stairs to get my medication because I didn't want to bother anyone in the middle of the night. Hubby, mother in law and my best friend are here for my every move but as I said I am very independent and not just that but everyone has been running around like mad cats for me they need their sleep as well. So early am I was quite sore took an extra pain med and went for a nap. I told you all in my last review that Ia smoking which I am but I am so nervous I don't want to smoke I know it's horrible an I had quit and lasted right up until exactly 2 weeks to the day of surgery. Everytime I think of smoking and surgery and now smoking with recovery my anitexty goes thru the roof.. I really need someone who has or did smoke to give me some pointers pleases. . I haven't had a BM yet but I havent had much to eat a couple of toast here and couple bite of toast there. I'm not much of a daytime Eater. Never have been. I eat supper with my family every evening. And we do go for lunch or eat lunch as a family of course but I'm not an everyday eater. I am most certainly a nighttime eater. Last night I was hella starved but I don't want to be bound up not be able to use the bathroom. My nurse before I left said I should stay away from sugar. I'm not exactly sure if she means anything tjat has sugar in it or to what modification she means. Jeeze I am all of the place..

I'm up walking and talking with the Boys for a half or here half hour there. I do find I get tired quickly.. but can't seem to stay asleep.

I am very nervous about the way I am placed in bed. I do not sit or lay anyway I am not comfortable but I am worried I am frozen and can't feel it or something. I know I could call my surgeon but I kinda feel silly asking these question bc out of all the views I have read none of them were about smoking and some not all rented a hospital bed or a reclining chair. I am surround by tons of pillows and again have no pain but I guess where I. Worried is because we have to walk hunched over wouldn't we kinda have to lay the same way? I hope I am making some sense.. lol
