I was even worried that 400cc was going to be too big, doc even said that he could bring in my breasts so that they were closer together. I was unhappy with the size, that they were not symmetric, so we chose saline so one could be filled more to even things out.

I am just a few days post-op. I was a small 36B, and got 400cc smooth round saline implants under the muscle. My PS was hesitant to put 400cc he suggested 350cc, but I wanted bigger and fuller (a true small D cup is what I wanted). I am in tears!! I don't understand! My C cup sports bra is loose on me, and the worst part...my breast are so far apart!! they are resting in my underarms! They look terrible, torpedo like, and my right breast is lower then my left...I AM BREAKING DOWN HERE!!! couldn't be more unhappy, I feel like an idiot, why didn't things work out?

What is your body size? Did you have excess skin in the breast? I am 23 days post op, I had a lift with 300cc implants. I had excess skin that needed to be taken care of. My breasts when laying down move into a natural position, if I had not had the lift I am sure they would have been resting under my arm as well. You are only a few days post op. I still look at mine some times and hate them. I go through depression probably every other day. I spend every second that I am not busy online reading reviews. Good luck

I'm guessing you had your surgery Dec 20th? First off, you were only a few days post-op, what you described is pretty common, both in appearance and your self-evaluation. Many women end up seriously disappointed immediately post-op because they expect their new boobjob to have the "final look" that you'll be approaching at least 6 weeks post. Sometimes this is due to lack of communication between patient and surgeon, but it's my sense that TV shows like Dr 90210 and Discovery Health gloss over the healing period so that you see the "before", the "immediately afterwards" and the "4-6 weeks post-op", editing out the slow healing period in-between for the sake of keeping the show interesting. Wait till at LEAST Jan 10, and I expect you will see substantial improvements in the appearance... not the "final look", as that will take months, but most of your healing will happen up-front (no pun intended). If things start acting up (new pain, sutures leaking/oozing, odd bumps and such), definitely reach out to your surgeon and raise the flag for an appointment, but otherwise, it sounds like things are going normally (which is admittedly a rough time).

thanks for putting things into perspective! As you mentioned things are settling down, and they are actually slowly growing and taking form ( I wish I would have known that, what I believe is the muscle giving way to the implant, but they are definitely not getting closer together, would it be a bad move to try and wear bras that push them together as they are dropping and settling? I've heard conflicting opinions on this. The breast that used to be smaller is actually now the bigger breast...hope that settles also (as my driving force for this was to correct asymmetry) to answer above: I didn't any extra skin, I was a very small B (nearly an A) on one side and an average B on the other. And they were very far apart...really really hopeing that soemthing happens and they get closer...keeping my fingers crossed! thanks again for the support...I really needed it!!

CL24, who was your surgeon? I am looking at a BA surgery in the next few months and want mine closer together. Thanks.
