3 weeks....no real changes

Hello. I am 35 and scheduled for a breast lift and augmentation in 2 days! I am 5'10" and 145 lbs. I am planning on getting 300 cc Saline implants and a donut lift. Needless to say, like most other women here, I am very nervous and questioning my choice of implant size. As you can see from the photo I am very uneven and think that I may be getting 300 in my left and 340 in my right. Concerned about the scars but my PS says that to get the look I want I will have to have a lift done :( I will keep everyone updated!!.

Hi Tara! I go in a week! I myself have been panicked! I am shorter almost 5'4 but am fairly muscular! I wear a 34a/32b and I am going with 450cc silicone! They will appear smaller under the muscle! So far I have been told i will most likely be a 34c to 32 d! Like everyone says go by the sizers and what look you like! No bra is the same so you may be different! Good luck with your surgery!!

Thank you! will be going in tomorrow, I will keep you posted!!

Hi Tara123! Congrats on your decision and believe me the choice of size is probably hard for us all. I spent a lot of time talking with my PS about size because initially I was thinking 300-350cc maybe a full C. The first thing my PS said was don't focus on what cup size you want to be because the sizing system is not made to support the decision. He said consider your end desire and your base width of each breast. He asked me to find pictures of other women that have similar breast shape before and the after I like. When I showed him those pictures, he agreed that I would need a bit of a lift to get the look I want, but not the full lift, he opted for a periareolar mastopexy because with my height 5'8" and breast/chest measurements I could hold a larger implant without it looking ridiculous. I didn't mind having full breasts, and was more worried about not looking like a porn star and maintaining a natural proportion. After a significant amount of talking and me bringing in applicable before and after pictures I liked, he recommended silicon high profile 450cc-500cc with the periareolar lift so i didnt have the vertical scar. I was WAY nervous that it would look crazy big, but afterwards, I am shocked at how well my frame carries it. I ended up with 450cc in one and 500 cc in the other because I too was uneven. So my only recommendation is to ensure you have shown several pictures of what you want to look like after, and if it is really that you are looking to stay within the smaller range, than stick with the 300s, but both Docs I consulted said for my height, I needed bigger to fill out and get the look I liked. You can see my before and after on here if youre interested (titled So glad I finally did it!! Augmentation with Periareolar Mastopexy - Monterey, CA). The end result is a personal choice for everyone, but I know a lot of people that wish they would have gone a little bigger. I literally made a last minute meeting with my PS the day before the surgery to ensure again we were on the same page with my expectations, because you want to be 100% comfortable with his plan going in. Best of luck and please keep us posted.

It's done!!!!! Just got home from surgery and feeling not too bad at all. They seem huge right now but I am sure that is due to swelling. I will take photos as soon as I can. At this point in time I .........LOVE them!!! Best decision ever. I will update more soon!

OK, I am scared to say this but......I feel awesome. I am in next to no pain and have not taken a pain killer since this morning. I don't know, maybe it is because my implants are small it makes everything more manageable? Anyone have any thoughts on this?? I am scared that it is just taking a little while longer and I am going to wake up in pain tonight....who knows, maybe the freezing has not totally worn off. Posted a new pic, tried to do 3 more but it would not work. Not too sure what is going on there........ oh well, 1 is better than none!
They look great!!! Glad you are happy and feeling ok.

I'm really excited to follow your progress because your before-boobs really remind me of my own, and since I decided to forgo a lift, it's kind of like seeing what I WOULD have looked like if I'd had one. I think you made the right decision because I've had all sorts of trouble getting mine to drop into place. *YOU* are looking great on the other hand, and I can't wait to see how things progress for you! Best of luck!

It is so funny! I have been following your story long before I created my profile, so I feel like I really know you! You hava had a long few months. I was really debating the lift and was so upset that the doc said I needed one. I was going to get a second opinion but I was scared that would confuse me even more. It sounds like that sort of happened to you? regardless, your boobies look great now!! I willl keep you updated and willl post pics again in the next few days.

Hello girls...it is day two and I am still feeling pretty good. I took some pain medication this morning and it sure does make a difference. They are still rock hard but I think I might start massaging them and hopefully that will help. Added 3 new pictures from today! Will uodate again soon. Hpep everyone is doing well :)

Hello....today is day 4 and all is well. Went for my first post op today. PS says no massaging and no bra for the next few weeks. He also said that I can workout as soon as I feel up to it, just no upper body weights. I find it so strange how everyone gets told different things? It is hard to know exactly what is right.....I guess I will just take his word for it?? Hope everyone is doing well :)
Wow! They're going to look amazing! Betcha can't wait to remove your clear armor! ;-) Happy recovery!

It has been 8 days and everything is looking and feeling good. They are getting softer and still need to drop but I have no pain. My back was hurting for the first week and I was scared that it was due to the new weight of the boobs but I think it was just from sleeping propped up for so many days because now that I am sleeping flat my back feels much better. I will be interested to see how my incisions heal. My PS said that I could do laser treatment if needed and that would pretty much remove all scarring.... I may look into that in the future. Hope eveyone else is doing well. And for those ladies getting ready or thinking about doing it, all I can say is that this has been one of the best decisions of my life!!!!
What is the laser treatment for the scars your PS recommends? How mature do your scars have to be before trying the laser?

Hi...I am not too sure if there is a official name??? My PS just called it laser treatment. I am going in for my second post op visit at the end of the week and can get more detail for you. He said anytime after the three months. I will update you went I get some more info!

So I talked to my PS about it again. He said that I can do the laser anytime after the 3 month mark. He said it may take a few treatments for the scars to totally fade but they usually get really good results. Apparently most skin care places have these lasers....might ask around a bit and see if it is any cheaper going to a actual laser clinic.

So, I have hit the 2 week mark, almost. I now know what you ladies are talking about when you say "zingers". Wow, they are really painful, thank goodness it only lasts for a second or two. My nipples seem to be a lot more sore, I think that is because I am starting to get some feeling back. I must say I am ready for this tape to be off and these stitches to heal. I have a follow up appt at the end of the week and will be interested to see if the stitches are healing OK. I really have not been able to get a good look at my nipples since pre surgery so my fingers are crossed that I will be able to have everything removed. Hope everyone is doing well!

OK ladies....I need some honest opinions. Do my boobs look the same size? I feel my right one is bigger. I hope I am just being paranoid. One of my big reasons to get this done was to have the same size boobs. Is it just me??
you look great!! breasts might always have a little bit of asymmetry but you def cannot tell in the pictures! you prob can tell and are a little more worried about it becuase your asymmetry was worse before your BA but they look really good and your lift looks great too!

Thank you! I am so happy with the lift and the minimal scarring.....hopefully it gets even better in a few months.

I think you're looking really good, and they look pretty even to me. But as others have said, it's way too early to evaluate your results yet. I tell you, things change sooooo much in the first few months, so try to be patient if you can. In the meantime, definitely communicate openly with your surgeon. He or she will have the most relevant knowledge of your case and I'm sure will be happy to address any questions or concerns you may have.

2 weeks post op. Everything is good, PS said incisions are healing well and took all the tape off. I feel much better with it off. I am starting maggages and can wear any bra I like. Does anyone know of any good sports bras that give really good support? I wear a sports bra on most days but am having a really hard time finding a good one that will keep the girls up! Would love to hear if any of you ladies have found one you are happy with. All the best to everyone.

I think you look fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing.

I am now 3 weeks. No major changes to report. Am now wearing a bra 24/7 as I do not want them to drop anymore. PS said I will have to do that for a year if I want everything to stay as they are now....apparently that is how long it takes for everything on the inside to totally heal :(

Other than that I am still VERY happy with my choice, and think that I am one of the few people that are happy that I didn't go bigger. Knock on wood!

Do you have any pics? I am curious because that is the size I wanted.

You look fabulous! Did you have much swelling? I think I am still quite swollen and I hope they are going to reduce just a bit more :)
