Hello. I am 35 and scheduled for a breast lift and augmentation in 2 days! I am 5'10" and 145 lbs. I am planning on getting 300 cc Saline implants and a donut lift. Needless to say, like most other women here, I am very nervous and questioning my choice of implant size. As you can see from the photo I am very uneven and think that I may be getting 300 in my left and 340 in my right. Concerned about the scars but my PS says that to get the look I want I will have to have a lift done :( I will keep everyone updated!!.

It's done!!!!! Just got home from surgery and feeling not too bad at all. They seem huge right now but I am sure that is due to swelling. I will take photos as soon as I can. At this point in time I .........LOVE them!!! Best decision ever. I will update more soon!

Here is a picture...it is funny, they look small but feel huge!! 300 cc in the left and 320 cc in the right (the PS removed some breat tissue in my right as well). LOVE THEM!

OK, I am scared to say this but......I feel awesome. I am in next to no pain and have not taken a pain killer since this morning. I don't know, maybe it is because my implants are small it makes everything more manageable? Anyone have any thoughts on this?? I am scared that it is just taking a little while longer and I am going to wake up in pain tonight....who knows, maybe the freezing has not totally worn off. Posted a new pic, tried to do 3 more but it would not work. Not too sure what is going on there........ oh well, 1 is better than none!

Hello girls...it is day two and I am still feeling pretty good. I took some pain medication this morning and it sure does make a difference. They are still rock hard but I think I might start massaging them and hopefully that will help. Added 3 new pictures from today! Will uodate again soon. Hpep everyone is doing well :)

Hello....today is day 4 and all is well. Went for my first post op today. PS says no massaging and no bra for the next few weeks. He also said that I can workout as soon as I feel up to it, just no upper body weights. I find it so strange how everyone gets told different things? It is hard to know exactly what is right.....I guess I will just take his word for it?? Hope everyone is doing well :)

It has been 8 days and everything is looking and feeling good. They are getting softer and still need to drop but I have no pain. My back was hurting for the first week and I was scared that it was due to the new weight of the boobs but I think it was just from sleeping propped up for so many days because now that I am sleeping flat my back feels much better. I will be interested to see how my incisions heal. My PS said that I could do laser treatment if needed and that would pretty much remove all scarring.... I may look into that in the future. Hope eveyone else is doing well. And for those ladies getting ready or thinking about doing it, all I can say is that this has been one of the best decisions of my life!!!!

So, I have hit the 2 week mark, almost. I now know what you ladies are talking about when you say "zingers". Wow, they are really painful, thank goodness it only lasts for a second or two. My nipples seem to be a lot more sore, I think that is because I am starting to get some feeling back. I must say I am ready for this tape to be off and these stitches to heal. I have a follow up appt at the end of the week and will be interested to see if the stitches are healing OK. I really have not been able to get a good look at my nipples since pre surgery so my fingers are crossed that I will be able to have everything removed. Hope everyone is doing well!

OK ladies....I need some honest opinions. Do my boobs look the same size? I feel my right one is bigger. I hope I am just being paranoid. One of my big reasons to get this done was to have the same size boobs. Is it just me??

2 weeks post op. Everything is good, PS said incisions are healing well and took all the tape off. I feel much better with it off. I am starting maggages and can wear any bra I like. Does anyone know of any good sports bras that give really good support? I wear a sports bra on most days but am having a really hard time finding a good one that will keep the girls up! Would love to hear if any of you ladies have found one you are happy with. All the best to everyone.

I am now 3 weeks. No major changes to report. Am now wearing a bra 24/7 as I do not want them to drop anymore. PS said I will have to do that for a year if I want everything to stay as they are now....apparently that is how long it takes for everything on the inside to totally heal :(

Other than that I am still VERY happy with my choice, and think that I am one of the few people that are happy that I didn't go bigger. Knock on wood!

You look fabulous! Did you have much swelling? I think I am still quite swollen and I hope they are going to reduce just a bit more :)

Danskin- I got one at Wal-Mart for 8 bucks. zip up front, good support!

One of the girls got a VS knockout sports bra. I have no idea how supportive it is, but worth a try! Otherwise I know walmart has a zip up that is pretty inexpensive. Lots of girls have gotten that one, including myself.

you look great!! breasts might always have a little bit of asymmetry but you def cannot tell in the pictures! you prob can tell and are a little more worried about it becuase your asymmetry was worse before your BA but they look really good and your lift looks great too!

Thank you! I am so happy with the lift and the minimal scarring.....hopefully it gets even better in a few months.

I think you're looking really good, and they look pretty even to me. But as others have said, it's way too early to evaluate your results yet. I tell you, things change sooooo much in the first few months, so try to be patient if you can. In the meantime, definitely communicate openly with your surgeon. He or she will have the most relevant knowledge of your case and I'm sure will be happy to address any questions or concerns you may have.

I see some differences between the two, but not enough of a significance based on the photos you posted. Sometimes it doesnt show up in pics well though, and I know what you mean b/c I felt the same way about mine. I have a 26cc difference between mine. And we noticed that the way my breasts were shaped pre-op affected the way they looked post-op. for some reason my left has a diagonal tip in that my right one doesnt have making it less round. I guess that is hard to explain. I can agree with what Kooberry said, one nipple looks a smidge lower than the other. You will probably want to wait till you fully heal before doing anything, especially since you are only at the 2 week mark. The doc will prob. tell you the same. But all things considered, you are looking really good! Welcome to the other side! (The boobie side! )lol

Thank you....that is a really good point. I think we fall into the mistake that once we get implants everything will be perfect, forgetting that our breast had little issues that wouldn't be fixed by a implant. Its all about the waiting game.....which I have never been good at!!

Yes, consider this a great lesson in patience! =) We all can't wait to get our surgeries and then can't wait to recover! Haha Recovery is by far the hardest part. But we get boobies as a consolation prize. Yay!

when your holding the camera up to take a pic this also affects the implant positions & shadows don't help either.

Thanks, that makes sense...when I look at myself with my arms straight down the nipples look almost even. I was just so self concious of my smaller breast I may be just looking for a difference when there really isn't a big one there:) Thanks for the advice, I just need to wait it out ......sometimes its so hard :)

Tara, there is no need for concern I wouldn't even bring it up to your PS, unless it's really bothering you. You & I are a week apart post op & it's normal for size and nipple position to be off, we are both still very early in our recovery. Trust me in a week your breasts will change position even more. This will continue on for a year, as thats when full results are expected by. My breasts were different in size and I was freaking out my right was .5 inch more projection wise and my left nipple point in a different direction. almost 3 weeks post op I can't tell a size difference anymore ( I did mention to my ps at my 2 week mark). My nipple still need to look up more & slowly my left is lining up with my right, they are also falling in closer together to close the gap. Trust me your too early to worry! Also to answer your question I see no difference in your breast, not nipple location nor size they look the same to me:)

They look similar in size tara. However, one nipple looks considerably lower than the other. You might want to talk with your PS about that.

Yes, it does doesn't it?? I will talk to him about that at the end of the week when I see him. Thanks Kooberry!

What is the laser treatment for the scars your PS recommends? How mature do your scars have to be before trying the laser?
  • Reply
Hi...I am not too sure if there is a official name??? My PS just called it laser treatment. I am going in for my second post op visit at the end of the week and can get more detail for you. He said anytime after the three months. I will update you went I get some more info!

So I talked to my PS about it again. He said that I can do the laser anytime after the 3 month mark. He said it may take a few treatments for the scars to totally fade but they usually get really good results. Apparently most skin care places have these lasers....might ask around a bit and see if it is any cheaper going to a actual laser clinic.

I'm really excited to follow your progress because your before-boobs really remind me of my own, and since I decided to forgo a lift, it's kind of like seeing what I WOULD have looked like if I'd had one. I think you made the right decision because I've had all sorts of trouble getting mine to drop into place. *YOU* are looking great on the other hand, and I can't wait to see how things progress for you! Best of luck!
