This site is a God-Send!

Got to say, this site is an absolute God-send. I have asked my surgeon and all the nurses to let other women know about the site if they are considering surgery.
I don't think I would have gone through with my op if I hadn't had so much info and advice at my fingertips.

Got the sssshivers!

Hi gals - I'm 20days post op and so far things have been going ok. Not in too much pain - and when I am it is fairly intermittent so I can deal with it.
But…... I am getting these horrible "shivers"… I don't really know how else to describe what I'm experiencing. It's a feeling that is just like when you get that "someone walking over your grave" feeling. Starting at the top of my chest and going right the way through my breast area. But unlike a shiver - it hurts - sort of really sharp intense pins and needles and it feels really horrible. I'm getting loads every day (in fact the frequency is increasing) - it's really unpleasant. I am guessing that it is my nerve endings - but these are definitely different to the "zingers" that I also get (but less frequently now).
Has anyone else experienced this? And if so - how long until they subsided…. They're really starting to get me down.
Apart from this - the other thing I struggling with is my support bra - which my surgeon wants me to wear 24/7 for at least another 5/6 weeks. The problem here is that the band sits right around my bottom incision and is irritating it. I've gon back to the support bra that I had straight after my op (a 40C) and even that is rubbing. I've measured myself and I'm a 36 - so I would have thought that the 38 or the 40 would offer a bit of relief.
Just wondering if you girlies can recommend something that might be slightly longer so as not to sit on my insicions….
Other than this lot (lol) my healing seems to be going really well - the ends of my "t" incisions seem to be taking the longest to heal and are still quite red and angry looking, but I know I need to be patient!
I am still so happy that I finally found the time, money and courage to go through with this procedure and simply cannot wait until I can wear normal lingerie and stop obsessing about the healing process - I just want to get on and enjoy them now! lol.
I hope every one who has had their op in the last few days is doing ok.
sending love and healing (and C cups) to you all!

8 days post op - Ouch!!

so at my one week check up yesterdy I had my contouring bandages removed - i was so nervous as they were stuck FAST! Unfortunately when the nurse was taking the first bit off, some of my skin tore off too - and it hurts a LOT. lol how dumb is that - I am sliced and diced all over and the thing that hurts is nothing at all to do with the surgery! Other than that little mis-hap, getting the dressings off was a blessed relief. My new boobies look fantastic - my surgeon's stitching is so neat - mu hubby was super impressed. I took the plunge and looked in the mirror when the nurse offered - she said many women don't want to look, but I decided to go ahead. It was so weird….. they look so small! they are still pretty full and round on top - almost like I've had implants - I'm told this will settle eventualy and will become more "teardrop" shape. Also, I think my nipples aren't quite as high up as I'd ideally like - but still WAY better than before. I'm also aware that the proportions will change slightly as the swelling settles down - so am not going to worry.
I had an uncomfortable night last night - there was a certain comfort in those tight bandages…. and without them I was definitley more uncomfortable. But far worse are the sharp pains I'm getting in my nipple area - they hurt like hell! I'm still taking the painkillers and they help - but the pains are so intermittent and vicious. I know this is a good sign as it means that the nerve endings are starting to kick back to life - so I think it's a case of no pain, no gain….
Overall am still really, really happy with my op. Have added a couple of pics from yesterday's appointment.
