“Erbium Laser Damaged Eyes”
Spent: $2,400 in California
Posted 10 Aug 2010
I had this treatment two years ago due to concerns about sun damage and skin cancer. The morning after the treatment, it felt as though my eyelids were stuck to my eyes. The PS ignored my concerns (shared the following days) and did nothing. When the symptoms persisted, I went to numerous ophthalmologists who diagnosed severe dry eye syndrome (which affected me mostly at night) and possible other conditions. I'd never had any eye problems or dryness before. The condition continued for many painful, sleepless months. Lots of treatments w/only minor improvement since the first traumatic year. Has anyone experienced this problem? Know what might have caused it?
As to the treatment, the doc said my skin would be like a new-borns, but no one noticed any changes. Perhaps this will work well for you. As for me, I wish I'd never have done it.

My Doctor: name not provided
He did not listen or attend to the concerns I shared with him. Perhaps had he been immediately proactive this condition might have been resolved early on rather than becoming chronic. I would be concerned about any doctor who is not attentive in this manner.
