I'm only 7 days post-op from my first (primary) rhinoplasty. I've always known I would get around to having a nosejob one day and now I finally got it done. I had a big nose - but not big as in fat or bulbous, big as in long and very projected from my face. In addition to that, the tip of my nose had an asymmetrical cleft in it, with one side of the cleft being bulbuous (just at that side of the tip) and twisted a little, while the other side was much smaller.
I wanted a tiny all american boy nose - but am old enough to realize that's not feasible for my rather large face and the general layout of my features, but asked for something smaller with a rounded tip.
I'm only day seven from surgery now, and just had the cast off the day before yesterday, so I understand this is too early to tell very much about the outcome but I thought I'd share anyhow. I know pictures helped me a lot, and I always wanted to see more, so I'm sharing a bunch of mine where I look pretty nasty, but only in my album so you can find them there. I don't have any appreciable "afters" anyhow, as I'm still taped up and it's very very swollen.

Well I've been pestering this doctor for about 8 months now, here and there, with a few little e-mails and questions in addition to the usual follow-ups about my post-rhino nose healing and swelling and he's held up like a champ. He is direct and to the point but specific enough to my concerns that I feel that he's listening to my particular case and not just quieting me down. I'm still only at 8-months as I'm (re) writing this, so I've got a while before I can say I've reached that rhinoplasty "year" everyone keeps talking about, so I'll be back to give more details then, but so far, so good in my opinion.
