I made it through high school with no scars, but when I was 24 I broke out in a very bad case of acne and ending up with pitting on my lower cheeks. It bothered me a lot so I mentioned it my doctor and after a lot of different solutions we decided to try the laser resurfacing. The pain was intense...I still remember the first time I walked outside...even with bandages on the air on my face made me want to cry. I ended up with hyper-pigmentation on my cheeks and upper lip. To me this is worse and more noticeable than the acne scars. I really wish I wouldn't have had the surgery.
