my facelift was 1/23/13 at UCLA Residency program & i'm pleased w/the results...minimal bruising & swelling...some discomfort but zero pain....
i strongly urge patients to prepare your mind & body for surgery...a few suggestions that helped me in my speedy recovery...
1. mental preparedness is key
2. physical preparation is necessary...i walked 21/2 miles a day 4 mos prior to surgery & engaged in strength training & nutrition...
3. vitamins/supplements...arnica gel on my face & neck daily was extremely useful & arnica pills daily helped..take bromeline (ingredient in pineapple helps swelling)....
4. i utilized eastern medicine prior to surgery by visiting my acupuncturist pre & post surgery...
....i had the best resident doctor & renowned attending doctor on my team
