I have had back and neck problems for as long as I can remember. I have went to physical therapy . massages , lost weight and to no avail did that help with the weight of my breast. I'm a little anxious and nervous. I have never had surgery before but I know its soooo worth it . I'm 44 and ready to make a change .

Well day 1 on the other side . My surgery was yesterday February 15th. It was scheduled for 845 they called me at 7 and asked if I could come in sooner... I said yes got there and still didn't go in until 930. I have never had surgery so I was really anxious and somewhat scared , but the nurses and doctors were so nice and helpful . I remember going in the operating room and when I opened my eyes I was in recovery wow 3 1/2 hours later . The surgeon said he removed 1 1/2 pounds from each breast . I get the first peek at the "girls " on Tuesday I know it will change alot in the upcoming months excited about that . For the first time I can remember I didn't have shoulder pain this morning ...one word "awesome!"

Well it's day 3 haven't slept well since the surgery I nap throughout the day and night because I can't seem to get a block of consistent sleep. I have my first after surgery appointment tomorrow hopefully the drains will be removed ****note take pain meds prior to appointment **** I'm currently drinking prune juice on the daily I haven't had a bowel movement since Thursday it's about that time !!!

Okay just left first post op dr appointment drains removed yippee !!! I can finally take a lovely shower bye bye bird baths . I felt a lil tug when drains were removed but I took pain meds hour before appointment . First peek at breast"wow " still swollen but I'm happy with the outcome. Also first time I can remember that when I took off bra nothing feel or dropped yay!!!

Okay its been 10 days since the surgery .. I'm going to my second post op . We shall see what they do. I'm supposed to return to back to work on Monday ,,, but I don't think that such a good idea. I'm a pharmacy tech. and I do a lot of reaching and bending plus carrying the medicine totes and sometimes they are really heavy. The holes from the drains are still there as well .. so I'm gonna ask the doctor to extend it. I have been healing well at least I think I am and I don't want a setback because I have done something to early. Well any who have a wonderful day ladies.. Ill post once I return with the outcome.

Okay back from post op all is well and i have two weeks off before I return back to work . I can wear any type of sports bra as long as its comfortable . I think I will still wear my surgical at night or from time to time ..I like it ...lol i will post pics later

Well it's even a few days since my last post Im still healing well however I had some discomfort on the side incisions I know it it's part of the process . I return to work on Monday wishing myself luck lol . The journey is so worth it

Nothing new to report Im healing fine .. The tape is still on my boobs though I go back to my PS next week for a follow up .. I need to ask how much he removed I think he told me 3 pounds total or as it 4 pounds.. One thing I do remember is that he told me that I had the most dense breast tissue that he has ever seen.. anywho I hope every one is doing well and healing well ...

They look so SO fabulous! Its the size i want mine to be~ I have a question? The surgeon said my breasts would have to be reduced as im 32GG I have a curvy figure and i wouldnt mind as much as long as they were still big and fitted me. Do you have any advice for this? how much did your size go down by? Is it worth it?

Hello Gem, I was a 40 DD so I thought the PS told me I could possibly be an E a F even!!! I am wearing a 38 D in a playtex Its like a bra mixed with sport (holdage..)lol i know thats not a word.. but I went down at least 2-3 cup sizes everyone is built so different a D on some looks small but large on others. I wanted to still have breast that fit my frame. I suggest you talked to your PS about the range they can go and choose what you want. Yes oooo Yes its worth it... Good luck and keep us posted. Congratulations, you look wonderful. About the dry skin from the tapes, if you're shedding skin and it itches and burns then that's an allergic reaction and you'll probably need some cortisone ointment. If it's just dry skin then perhaps try the blue Nivea cream, or a cocoa butter cream?

I really like your result. I am affraid of going too small. I have read posts of ladies who did and that bothers me. Plus, if I lose weight after, it could get extremely small. Any advice?

Hello my PS told me that I would be left with a large c to a d cup as of right now I'm in a d cup . I myself didn't want to be too small . I suggest that you talk to your PS about the size you would like to be I think that talking about your concerns will help you . I know it will all work out !!!

Oh I also told my PS that I wanted to lose weight as well he said with the size he gave me if I lost weight they still would fit my frame. I'm on a mission to lose 25 pounds .

Congrats! You look incredible....WOW, what a change! You looked about my size so I can relate to how you felt. I had 2 lbs. removed from each breast so I feel super small now and LOVE IT!! I am 6 days post op and finally had my first bm yesterday and probably only becuase I went off the percocet. I think people would think I'm too weird to plan a party for that along with "Burning the Bra Bonfire"!! Good luck and happy healing. Sending gentle imaginary hugs your way. "Perkysets"
