I am a 34F/FF. (It depends on the brand) My parents know that I want a breast reduction and are the most supportive people ever! With that being said you can already see my reasoning, but as if that wasnt enough I am a competitive dancer and I dedicate my life to the art of dance. I have rehearsals and practices up to 15 hours a week. I have also dropped out of public school and started being homeschooled, so I can dedicate even more time. Big boobs make this very challenging. I have a decent amount of money saved up (in the thousands) and my oarents and I am trying to decide whether I should wait until I am 17, when the insurance will cover it, or split the costs now. Half parents/ half me. Any suggestions? I can take up to 3 months off of dance, so that is not an issue. Surgeons have said that they will do it on me, knowing my age, but the insurance won't pay for it. I have done as much research as possible! Surgeons are suprised at how much I know.

I am not your average 13 year old. I am mature (not my point of view.) I have dedicated my life and already have a career in place.

Any thoughts, comments, concerns, ideas, etc. will be so helpful!

Lots of love <3

Not as of yet, I am going to my doctor to get a referral so I can find out more. I haven't seen my general pracritioner in a whole so I need to handle that first

quite literally. Have you seen any surgeons or if your insurance will cover it?

Right? I don't want to live my life like I have a weight over my shoulder

Thanks guys! bethjoyw, I feel the same way! Some people are telling me to wait, but I don't want to deal with it for the rest of my life.

I'm 16 and a 32ff so i feel your pain, literally! I just started looking into breast reduction but I'm really undecided. My boobs are somewhat saggy and I'm not that happy with how I look. Plus, the bras are so expensive! I really just want to now have to deal with this the rest of my life!

Best of luck to you! I am so happy to hear you have such great parents. I too don't know about how young this can be done, but if doctors are approving of the decision, then it must be okay. I say this because you said "surgeons" in the plural, so it sounds like you already have more than one doctor weighing in their opinion. If you already have a career in place, then you might be more happy taking care of the issue now rather than waiting for insurance. Take Care.

At a 34F I can certainly understand your desire to have a breast reduction done. I would suggest you speak to more than one PS. I do not know what the effects of a BR can be on a girl so young who is still  maturing. Please get several opinions before you make any final decisions. I'm sure with the support of your parents and well qualified medical professionals you and your family can make the decision that is the right one. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice!
