Hard lumps and swelling above incision line 5 months after tummy tuck

Is this normal?? My incision swelling is still pretty bad as my fifth month approaches. It also feel hard and lumpy on the right side and gets worse by the days end. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but whenever I where a tightfitting shirt you can see my incision line with swelling and all! It looks like a pouch of chub and fat. It's very prominent and noticeable to me especially. When are things suppose to actually 'flatten out' ??

12 weeks postop tummy tuck

Okay so as of today I'm 13 weeks postop. Things are supposed to get better this month I hear and the swelling is supposed to subside but I haven't seen any of that happen yet?!?! I'm still swollen and have that puffy ledge above my incision so let's hope by month four it will begin to get better for me?!?! I am still up from my presurgery weight and I'm really hoping that's just water retention but I don't know if the whole 10 pounds of it is solely swelling??? Man I sure hope so. What a crappy feeling to have gained weight after Lipo and a tummy tuck... talk about buzz kill!! And since having the Lipo AND the tummy tuck AT the same time I'm hoping that's why I've got all this thickness going on?! I'm unable to get my preop jeans up past my hips without a struggle!!?? Even my jeans don't quite fit me yet and again, I'm THREE MONTHS POSTOP now!!! Ohhh the struggle :)

Sorry for my venting... Let's hope month 3-4 has more positive things to report =]

8 week postop pics

At my eight week postop mark I was still feeling pretty much the same as six weeks. Dissatisfied with how high my scar looked, still lots of swelling and puffiness and overall blahhh. I also started exercising again full swing but nothing too strenuous. I'm a runner so when I started back on the treadmill I found I felt more comfortable and supported wearing my binder but after two weeks I removed it completely. And I can honestly say I pretty much stopped wearing the binder around the eight week mark too as I didn't feel like I needed it anymore (even though I would swell quite bad at times). My plastic surgeon gave me the go-ahead to stop using it at three weeks postop so I held on to it alot longer than necessary anyway. also around this time the asymmetry and unevenness of my flanks/hips from the liposuction started to bother me even more and I was obsessing over it too much!!! I discussed my concerns to my plastic surgeon about wanting my scar lowered and made more curved rather than straight plus doing more Liposuction on my flanks and hips to even things out and he was completely on board! He said he will do a touch up when I go ahead with my revision surgery next spring free of charge minus the facility and Anesthetic fee I'll have to pay again. He estimates I'll only need about an hour or so it shouldn't be too much.

I also want to make note that around the 10+ week mark I started feeling extreme pain and pulling on The left side of my abdomen intermittently throughout the day. More so when laying flat in bed and trying to get up from that position or transitioning from sitting to standing and standing to sitting. It hurt like hell and I'm so glad it blew over after a few weeks but it was extremely painful at it's peak.

Fabulous Doctor all around! I couldn't have chosen a better PS. His staff was amazing and I loved how caring and attentive they were. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process as I knew I was in good hands with choosing Dr. Dawes.
