I had a tummy tuck and breast lift done over 12...
I had a tummy tuck and breast lift done over 12 weeks ago with Dr. Joe and I am very pleased! I feel like I have been given a new page in my life at age 51. I have been released from the belly overhang from 2 C-sections I had over 20 years ago. The breast lift was just icing on the cake! Dr. Joe did great work. I appreciate his talent and commitment to his craft. His staff was wonderful. The Burnsville surgical center & staff were wonderful too.
Dr. Joe was honest with me. I felt very informed. I am sort of a detail person ("nervous nelly") and he and his staff didn't let me down. I feel things came through as expected. In fact - better than I could have imagined throughout the whole process. I should have done it 10 years early when I recall thinking about it but at that time I figured it wasn't something someone like me could do.
I have not changed in to a super model or anything but I have been freed from the mid-section that had me hiding myself for years. Now I have a chance to feel more normal in my clothes instead of suffocating and feeling like the fat lady. I feel more open to intimacy again! Woohoo for my husband.
In fact, this was something I did solely for me. I researched it on my own. Dr. Joe's book was very helpful too!! Didn't bring this idea up to my husband (or my mom, for that matter) until I was satisfied that it was something I intended to do and needed to figure out the funds. I announced to my husband and he was surprised. He recalled I mentioned it 10 years ago. But he only wanted me to pursue this if I wanted to - period.
I remember the day in August of 2014 when I caught my reflection in a window (before researching tummy tucks)....I didn't think it was me in the reflection. And as my eyes moved upwards...I realized those were my calves, my knees, my waist...I was dumpy and had no idea. Where did I go? It was time for me to really do something for me. So instead of buying a new car....I will continue to have a used car and have cosmetic surgery. I will still be me. Just an improved me. What price can you put on every day of your life from here on out? Priceless. Worth it. Relieved and freed! Thank you Dr. Joe and caring staff!
