First I have to say that I have never written an online review in my life-not for a store, restaurant, or for any services I have received in the past-but after my visit to the brand new spa that Twin Cities Cosmetic Surgery, I knew I needed to share my incredible experience with everyone. I have struggled with acne my entire life and in my 30 years that I have been on this planet, I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun to help combat it. Nothing seemed to help my acne and several of the products and treatments i tried actually made my acne worse! For the last few years I had accepted that I would need my full coverage foundation for the rest of my life because nothing was going to fix it. If any of you out there have struggled with this problem like I have, you can understand just how much acne and other skin problems can affect your life. I can not count how many times in my life that I've cancelled plans because I was embarrassed to leave my house. I was depressed and hopeless and in my mind doomed for the rest of my life. Then something amazing happened....A friend referred me to Dr. "Joe" Gryskiewicz with Twin Cities Cosmetic Surgery and she told me if there is a solution out there for my acne, Dr. Joe would know. After doing research about Dr. Joe and his practice I discovered that he is one of Minnesota's top doctors, a celebrated author, a philanthropist that performs reconstructive surgery on children throughout South America and who would never be able to afford the reconstructive surgery their children needed and the best part of that is he performs the surgery in exchange for nothing. I was very impressed with him and I immediately called his practice and made an appointment for a free skin analysis in order to see what would be best spa treatment for my specific need. I was blown away by the staff's sincerity (they REALLY wanted to help me), the way the staff listened to to my concerns and took the time to really get to know me, the beautiful and relaxing state of the art spa facility with the latest tools to treat all kinds of skin concerns, and the best part is the price for each treatment is up to 50% lower than the several spas I have been to through the years. They offer everything from hydrating and exfoliating facials to laser treatments for both the face and body. They even have something called Coolsculpting that is basically liposuction without the surgery and down time (I can't wait until I have that done!) and the results last forever! After the skin analysis they recommended the services that would be best for me and did a tremendous job of explaining the treatments along with the expected results. They explained the way the skin works, what factors could be causing my acne and how to protect my skin in order to lessen the chance of getting a breakout. They also did something that no one else has done for me before....they explained that everything I had done in the past to treat the acne was never going to work because of my skin type and that they could help me treat this. I wanted to cry because I was so happy! They explained to me that most acne treatments are geared towards oil prone skin because oil clogs pores and creates the problems. I however am not oily, not at all, and because I am dry all the products would just make my acne worse. I booked a spa appointment immediately and had every treatment they recommended done and within less than two weeks I have already seen a massive improvement in my skin. I never thought the day would come when I didn't wear foundation but I haven't even needed in for the past two days! I can not thank Dr. Joe and his staff enough and I know they will probably never understand how much they have affected my life in a positive way.
