I had a terrible rhinoplasty about 14 years ago....
I had a terrible rhinoplasty about 14 years ago. The tip ended up droopy, uneven and squared. I also have sharp edges on the tip. I have been too scared to get anything done. It really has taken a toll on me. It makes me not want to look in the mirror and sad when I see it. There are very few photos of me and my kids together because I don't like being in pictures. I have been getting filler which temporarily helps, but I worry about complications.
For the past couple years I have been researching surgeons for a revision. I had thought about going to Dr. G in California, but I really need something more local.
Through Real Self, I found Dr. Anand Patel in Brookfield WI. He specializes in facial surgeries. I am looking to get both a revision rhinoplasty and browlift. I have very uneven brows. I had a consultation with Dr. Patel a few weeks ago at his Brookfield office. The office was very lovely and the staff was very kind. Dr. Patel took his time in looking at the structures of my face, nose and brows. He was very knowlegable. He stated that he would do an endoscopic procedure on my brows to lift and even them out. I have found that I constantly raise them to try to make them even, which causes me headaches. This procedure might alleviate my headaches as I won't feel the need to try and hold them even. He would do an open procedure on my nose as he needs to visualize the inner structure of my nose and see what had been done. The plan would be to do inner grafts to open the airway. I am always stuffy and he noted that my nose bridge is too narrow and kind of collapses on itself when I breathe. He would then refine the tip and possibly use some crushed cartilage to soften the tip. The photo I am attaching is my nose now and the morphed computer image he did. Such a major improvement. The nose I have wanted my entire life, but never had!! The revision was within my budget; however, with the browlift, the price went out of my price range. I will have to save up for a while in order to proceed with the procedures. I could get one of the procedures done now, but I really only want to go through anesthesia one time. I am a nurse by profession and there are risks with anesthesia and I only want to risk it once! Once I go through with this, I will post pre and post op photos of my entire face so you can see the difference. For now only I am only comfortable posting the before and morphed photos with my face covered.
