I am 41 years old and have been using Botox/Dysport for approx. 7 years. I really don't have many forehead wrinkles so I am mostly treating the glabellar area. (number 11 lines between the eyebrows).

Do you have a preference over Dysport or Botox, or have you found them to be about the same?

Jess41 8 Feb 2012
I honestly don't think there's much difference. The price is about the same. My results seem to be the same. I think the Dysport might kick in a little faster though?

Well, you're lucky you found a doctor like him. Is he a dermatologist for real? I would love to try Dysport here, as you said the effect would be faster? He certainly offers good services and affordable prices.

He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has had 2 years of specialty training in medical aesthetics before opening LaFrance Medical Aesthetics in September, 2010. He's an MD but he's not a dermatologist... which really doesn't matter to me as long as he does a good job! I think everyone is different as far as the dysport/botox preference. i really don't have a preference, they both do the same thing for about the same price. for me personally i saw the dysport results by the next day (instead of 2-3 days with botox) but i'm not sure if that has been everyone's experience? keep me posted on what you end up doing, i'd love to see pics too!

I just had my first Botox at age 40 (a week before my 41 bday). I do like the results but wondering if the number 1 lines get better or smoother with time and additional treatment? I still have a bit of a line. I do not want to use a filler but was just wondering if this will get better with time and additional treatments? BYW, your forehead looks great!

Thank you! I'm not sure if you might need a little more Botox to completely get rid of the line or if a filler is really what you need? I think it depends on how deep the line is naturally before you used Botox. If it was very deep then the Botox might not be enough? If you don't want filler you may be able to do a laser or chemical peel to decrease the line. What did your dr say?

At this time he recommended a filler. It just seemed that after the Botox started working, my line was smoother. Overall I am happy with it. Thanks for your advice.
