6 weeks and I'm not in love yet.....

I'm now at the six week mark, I've started to exercise again and am back swimming. Starting to feel like my old self again. I have struggled to sleep well in the last few weeks, I keep waking up at night in a start thinking I am swollen. I would kill for a solid knights sleep!!! Anyway my measurements you may ask!! I have go down in size more ( thank goodness) I'm still a 32 dd but I feel there is still some swelling there, so may go down to a 32 d yet..
If anyone has been following my review, I have been posting measurements as the swelling subsides. I am at 6 weeks and my
Under bust measurement is 76 cm and bust is now 94-95cm so still dropping but very slowly.

I have purchased some high impact sports bras for running and while they don't yet feel like part of my body quite yet - they are getting there. I run in the sports bra with a running jog top as well, so there's definitely no movement.

I have read a few reviews where ladies have purchased bras at 4-6 weeks and by 12 weeks they don't fit due to more swelling going down has anyone else had this??? Love to hear.

4 week update

Firstly I will add some current pics tomorrow.

It has been sometime since I updated and I can see there have been lots of people following my review so here I am. As you may recall I have had a tough time coming to grips with the size I am, if I am too big?? if it is swelling?? if they well settle down and look more natural. I started taking measurements to track how the swelling was going
Pre surgery 12b/c
under bust 77cm bust 92cm.
Day 2 ub 86cm b 104.
Day 3 ub 83cm b 101.
Day 5 ub 79cm b 99cm.
Day 7 ub 78cm b 98cm.
Day 9 ub 78cm b 97 cm
Day 11 ub 77.5 cm b 97cm
Day 14 ub 76 cm b 96 cm
Day 21 ub 76 cm b 96cm
Day 28 ub 76 cm b 95cm

as you can see over the last couple of weeks there hasn't been much change however they are starting to settle down, gradually drop and soften. I think there is still swelling and I figure the larger the implant, there will be more tissue affected by inflammation. I know I am slow to heal from swelling, a few years ago I had my lips injected with filler and was told it would take 3-4 days for them to settle.. funny story but I have pics taken 10 days later and the trout pout is sooo obvious. This is why I figure and have my fingers crossed that I have some shrinking to do yet.

I am currently fitting into a 12 DD and am hopeful that I will ultimately be a 12D ( I don't really want to be any larger than that). It seams there is a few months for the swelling to go completely.

In clothes I must say the difference is quite amazing and I do look great, however naked I am just not sure yet. They still look like rockmelons. I am struggling to find a bikini to wear to the beach so I won't draw attention, we are off to Noosa this weekend so it might be interesting.

I have started back running again at a very easy pace wearing a running full support bra and a full support lycra top as well so feel pretty comfortable. This week I am feeling quite good - back in the pool as well and have done a couple of 2+ k swim sets also at an easy pace. I have been keeping the heart rate low as per my surgeons instructions. I am still waking up often at night feeling like, and thinking I am all swollen. I'm not sure weather I do swell at night but it definitely feels like it, am still icing daily.

This is really a long and slow process, I still have days where I don't know if I did the right thing or not. Its such a big thing - don't underestimate it :-)

Day 15 I'm still huge !!! But slowly less and less swelling ;-)

Pre surgery 12b/c

Here are my updated measurements, I am posting it in this way as it shows the swelling going down. I still think I have a ways to go before it is completely de swollen.

I am back on the bike, I have done a couple of 60 minute rides staying on the flat. I might do a 2 - 21/2 hour on Saturday, just low heart rate not trying to stay with the bunch. This week I am back at work - no one has even looked at me sideways. I have popped on a cardi over my work shirt to camouflage myself, just goes to show you eh!!

I am also back to pre surgery weight so I guess that tells me the extra fluids IV and irrigation have also gone from my body,

I am still unsure if I will be totally happy with the result, at 15days I still hope to reduce a cup size. My measurement at the moment is a 12DD - I have my fingers crossed for a 12 D I don't really want to be bigger than that. On the q&a section of this site the surgeons all have differing opinions as to how long it takes for the swelling to go down. I feel I still have quite a bit there -
Hope so anyway.

Still waiting for them to soften and move like real boobs I must admit in clothes or in a bra they look great, but still look like Frankenstein' s boobs ( if he had them) hard and somewhat distant.
Other than my head having trouble with the size I have had a dream recovery, one dose of pain meds and that's it. I am able to sleep on my side now which is much more comfortable. There is one thing, the tape from my dressings ( changed twice daily) has irritated my skin. Tonight a little bit if skin came off on both sides and bled, I've changed where the tape sits - hope this helps "
Ouch"

I will keep updating as I go.. Jj. Xx
