Cast off and stitches out!

I have now had my cast off and stitches out! One thing I will say is the stitches when coming out, did hurt. It is a very sensitive area! :( but its not unbearable, just sensitive obviously with having scabs inside your nose and stuff and there was only 4 stitches. My first thoughts when I looked in the mirror for the first time without a cast on was wow! I was so happy with it. I havent got much feeling back in my nose yet but its only been a day, and breathing is much easier. I got advised to use coconut oil on my nose and face and also steaming over boiling water. Will be posting pics soon! Hope this helped :)

I had wanted a nose job since i was very young. I decided to book a consultation as soon as i turned 18 at Transform, which then I spoke to a lovely consultant named Anita which advised me on what to do, because of the shape of my nose and having had breathing problems when I have a cold she advised Dr. Lahoud, who specializes in rhinoplasty. I was excited to hear she had recommended the best surgeon. So after going through the procedure and getting a quote I then booked another consultation to speak directly to Dr. Lahoud, when i spoke to him he seemed very professional and knew what he was talking about he told me exactly what he would do and even took some pictures and put them on his screen to show me what my nose would look like afterwards and I was beyond happy with it. I then decided to go ahead and book a date to have my surgery. The dreaded day came, we arrived at the Riverside hospital at 9am and was taken to my suite by a lovely nurse named Oxana, who went through what was going to happen, I then got changed into my nighty and socks and had my blood pressure taken etc. Everything was fine, Dr Lahoud then came in and asked a few questions to make sure I was okay and to go through again what he was going to do, I am a bit of a drama queen and kept asking if it was going to hurt (obviously I am going to get a bone broken it is not going to be painless!) but they still put me at ease and let me know how many pain killers i could have etc. So the lovely male and female nurse came to take me to get the general anesthetic, I went into the big scary room but everyone was really nice, laid down on the bed and was having a normal conversation while the cannula was getting put in and the male nurse held my hand while he done it which which was very sweet and made me feel less scared. i then had the mask taking in the oxygen and just felt really high lol. Next thing you know I have woken up with a big cast on my face very drousey but no pain whatsoever. I went back to my room and went back to sleep for a bit. Once i had awoken i felt fine just a bit stiff and a bit run down, that evening i had dinner as normal and got up and walked around the hospital with my mum but i did feel a bit queasy when i did so i wouldn't advise that until you have had a good sleep. I had some painkillers that evening and everything was fine. The next morning a lovely nurse came in called Caroline who took my blood pressure and took the tissue type stuff out my nose, some people had told me that this hurts, it didn't, a bit gross but it feels like a really long bogey coming out your nose its not painful just unpleasant. No more things to be scared of until getting the stitches out and cast off now (which i have 2 days from now) i went home, one thing i will say is that it is quite hard to eat the next day i had mcdonalds and you cant stretch your mouth open that wide. Its been 6 days since the op, my nose just feels sore like when you have a cold and you blow your nose too much, i have gone some days without taking painkillers but i mainly take them just for reassurance. breathing is annoying but that's what comes with it and hopefully it will be better when my cast comes off. I hope this helps anyone looking to get it done because I wanted to read alot of reviews before I had it done. If anyone is too scared to get it done it completely pleasantly suprised me and wasnt at all as bad as i thought it would be. The total cost paid £4325. Hope this helped :)
