Great posts by everyone. I am having surgery in less than a week. I had a rhinoplasty approximately 20 years ago and have had a lot of problems breathing on one side ever since. My septum is way over to the right and I get very little air flow up that side. Although my profile is significantly better than what I was born with, the front is still much too wide and I also have acquired sinus issues. My ENT will be using the balloon procedure to widen my sinus' and he will straighten my septum, while my new plastic surgeon will operate on the cosmetic appearance. Therefore, I will have two surgeons operating on me at the same time, each doing what they specialize in.
