“I Am So Pleased, I Only Wish I Had Done It Years Ago! - Bournemouth, UK”
Spent: $7,000 in Bournemouth, UK
Posted 18 Jan 2011
I am 36 years old, had always been concious of my slightly crooked top teeth & quite crooked bottom teeth, but never thought as I got older that it would be possible to have them straightened. My partner of a few months encouraged me to look into having them done, so I did. As I am really not a confident person I sent an invisalign dentist in my area an email. They contacted me straight away and I have never looked back!
The dentist was and still is so lovely, he was completely honest with me and although at the beginning when I was told it would cost £3'500 (in UK) to have the treatment. I think it will definately be worth it!
I have 10 trays for the top teeth and 18 for the bottom one's. initially my dentist thought it would be at least a year to complete my program, so I was over the moon when the actual treatment (so long as they straighten as they should) will only be 9 months. I am on trays 7 at the moment and my top teeth are nearly there already. I am so happy, I am getting married in 7 and a half weeks and really can't wait now!! My only regret is that I didn't sort my teeth out years ago!! It will be well worth the money!! :-)

This treatment was ideal for me at my age and for my case. If you see a dental professional who knows what he/she is talking about then you will have no worries! I had slight aching and a very slight lisp at the beginning of each tray renewal but that is all! If you are compatible for the invisalign then go for it!!!
Welcome to RealSelf! You sound thrilled with your treatment so far; I'm glad it's working out so well for you.
Maths eludes me so I was wondering, will you have the retainers when you get married? It's great that they're clear so it shouldn't be noticeable.
