Was Botox worth it? Yes. But I went in with very realistic results and so many women don't. It isn't going to turn a 50 year old into a 25 year old again. What it did for me was to considerably ease the very bad frown lines that I had, eliminate a couple of horizontal lines, and lift my eyebrows back into the position they were in when I was younger (that alone was worth it to me!). My doctor was very honest with me and informed me that I had strong frown muscles (been told that before by a senior cosmetic surgeon in the UK) and that it would take time and a number of injections before it really took hold. My only downside is that I suffer from migraines and they trigger within 48 hours of the shot BUT my doctor works with me, we know that this is a problem and she has the medications ready for me to help me through. It doesn't stop me as it seems like a small price to pay.
