“Botox not for crow's feet”
Botox: NOT worth it
Pain: Painfree
I had botox injected into my crow's feet. They are gone, however, the skin under my eyes is baggy, saggy, and puffy. I am embarrassed to smile because I look like a freak. I am learning that the human face is a beautiful and delicate system of interrelated muscles. If you knock out one part, the rest overcompensates to bring back the balance.
I would never ever ever do this again, or any other invasive procedures. I am so unhappy with what I've done because I do not look like me. I hope this wears off sooner than later because I long to see myself again when I look in the mirror. I have learned the hard way to love my wrinkles, as they are a testament to the happiness and joy I have in my life.

Hi Penelope, I'm so glad we could be there for each other! Does the skin under your eyes only show the sagginess when you smile? That's the case with me. Can you move/squint your eyes the way you did before? I have my Refirme Skin Tightening tomorrow at 11:30am. Will let you know what the results are. I hope it helps tighten the skin under my eyes until the muscle is strong enough to do so again. I think we had the Botox in the same place, right? At the crows feet and under the lashes (I had it done under the lashes of just my right eye.) You? Sorry if I asked already. Best, Amy

Hi.. I have read all your postings.. as I feel really down at the moment and pleased I have found this board. I had botox 4 days ago and have just incurred swelling and bruising underneath my eyes. It looks like I have really dark circles and bags...please reassure me all be back to normal after the botox has worn off. :-((

Hi Waschke, Yes, all will go back to normal, but very slowly...although you never know how your body will metabolize the Botox. Stay positive! It should improve about 1% a day. Where exactly did you have the Botox? Was this your first time like me? Best, Amy

Hi Amy I can understand you.. I really wish I hadnt had botox. The swelling seems to have gone down a bit but I still have larger bags under my eyes which is making me look tired and haggard. I have always had some kind of bags but I think with the injection under my eye has definately made them more noticeable. I feel a lot older at the moment and I am wearing lots more make up to try and conceal it. Have you been back to your doctor for his opinion and if so, what did he say? Keep me informed. Steph x

Hi Amy: Ok - 2 weeks to go...has it improved at all?? I would think after 4-6 weeks from initial injection it would begin to reduce in effect. I do not know how many units he used in the crows feet area...I didn't ask, but I do not have any trouble squinting or bags ( thank goodness!) On my eyebrow, it just seems a bit droopy - not terribly noticeable to anyone but me. As I have had this before with amazing success, I was expecting my favorite benefit, a slight lifting of the brow area, which has always been why I liked botox...always made my eyes a bit more rested looking. Now, I just look tired. You're probably right, I should just leave it alone. I'm still going to call my derm or send him an email, as he is a personal friend of many years and known as one of the best derms in town. Ahhhh - mixing business with friendships is awkward!!!

i had botox 7 days ago and when i smile i see crows feet like crazy. i had some injections in my forehead too and they worked some but i am so disapointed with my results. i tried to contact my dr. and shes on vacation for the week. hopefully when she gets back she will re-do what i don't think worked. could my botox have been weak? this is my second time around with the same dr.a nd she said that this dose was going to be stronger than the last because she went light on me the first time. i think it was weaker.

Hi Everyone, I have had a filler for my lips done and found that inside the corner of each lip i have lump from where needle and filler was injected I was told that it was normal. I am really wanting to et botox for my face but not sure about it now cause i guess things could go wrong. It makes me sad to hear about all of you that hav had it done and the results were not very good. Luckily its not a permant filler if something does happen wouldn't the clinic fix it.

Don't do it! Stay away from Botox if possible. It's not worth it. The only place on the face it might work is on the forehead but I wouldn't risk it! It was the biggest mistake of my life. It's a poison anyway. Why would you put poison in your body? If I knew then what I know now, I never would have done it. I rushed into it without thinking carefully about it thinking it was no big deal. It is a big deal and can cause you serious damage for several months - NOT WORTH IT!

I'm not completely back to normal yet. There is definitely more movement around the eyes so I don't look frozen at all now. However, I still have protruding bags under the eyes and a bit of wrinkling where the cheek meets the under eye area when I smile. Apparently this should resolve itself in the next few months. From what I understand this takes place between month 3 and 6 after Botox treatment. It's a frustrating slow process, but it's moving along. I also still feel a bit of tugging in that area when I squint (which I hate!) If I knew about any of this before, I never would have done this. Why do you ask? Have you had a similar experience?

The wrinkles around the corner of my eyes have been bothering me over the last year, so two days ago I had botox injected into the crows feet.
