Botox: Worth it

Cost: $800
Pain: Mild
Botox satisfaction: Excellent5 Star Rating: Excellent

You hear that people get addicted to Botox, and once you get it done, you understand why. It's not addictive in the sense that you will go through withdrawal if you don't get poked with the needle, but the results are so great that you just can't bear to have the wrinkles come back!

It takes a few days before you see the results, and it's like magic the way the wrinkles disappear. I had my crow's feet and in between my eyebrows down. I pay $400 per area, so $800 total. Although I can't frown at all, I don't think that the Botox is affecting my happy look when I smile.

It hurts, of course, when you get stuck with the needle, but for me, it's tolerable. I have an excellent plastic surgeon who knows exactly what he is doing.

Side effects - I had bruising once when I asked the doctor to do the under eye area, which is very vascular. There is some redness immediately after the injection which goes away in less than an hour. A couple of times, I have had a very mild headache after the injection.

I have had Botox administered four times, and I seem to be able to go longer between each set. I went two months between the first and second set of shots, and a little over three months between the third and fourth sets. I'm not rich, but I will continue to use the Botox because dang, I'm 40 but I look at LEAST five years younger!
