Drove today!
Quick update. I had my first post op appt today and my drain was taken out since I was only draining 15 ccs per day. Got off my pain meds 4 days post op. Still had slight pain, more like muscle soreness but tolerable without meds. Got the clearance to start driving so took the kids to get ice cream. Still taking it slow and resting a lot.
Doing well
I am doing well. For the past couple of days I haven't felt any pain while resting. I feel pain when I get up or walk around but it's tolerable. I'm still taking pain meds but almost feel like I will not be needing them soon. I took off my binder yesterday to take a look and I am very pleased with the results. I haven't taken a shower yet but may try to today. I haven't had a bowel movement and am still taking the laxatives once per day.
Doing well!
I am 3 days post op and doing well. Recovery has been painful but not as painful as I was anticipating. I didn't rent a recliner and havnt felt like I needed one. I'm am Pretty much awake during the day and have been taking my pain meds every 4 hours. My mother and kids have been so supportive and helpful. I havnt been on an emotional roller coaster which has also surprised me. I feel very little pain when I'm resting in bed or sitting in a chair. When I stand up to walk I feel a lot of pressure in my belly and still walk hunched over. My back has been incredibly itchy from the binder. I still have no idea what my stomach looks like. I have a friend that is coming to visit me today and she happens to be a nurse so she will help me get out if the binder so I can see the results. I will post pictures in the afternoon/evening.
