15 days post op, feeling great

I am feeling better and better everyday. Loving more and more my real breast. I went for my first run post op today and no more pain, I feel lighter and healthier. It was a bit of a shock at first after the removal but now I know that I have made the right decision. I had a strong withdrawal from all the drugs they gave me at the hospital for the surgery, opiates, sedative and anesthetics and was miserable for a week. I recommend everyone to do it if you are thinking about it for a while. The only thing I would have done differently is to have the implant removed under the breast, not through the nipples, I lost sensation on one of them, and if possible go for a local anesthesia. General anesthesia is very hard on the body. Intimately, things are going great with my hubby. At least I feel that he appreciates my real body and that makes me feel freer. My breast are looking good (in my opinion), no more sagging, they are just super small, but that is okay. I am used to that, i am asian. At the hospital. They sent me home with a post op bra very comfortable and tight. I sleep with it at night. It makes a huge difference. I am so grateful to regain my health back.

Day 2 post op

Off the pain med for the last 24hr. Tremadol kept me awake for the last couple of nights and I could not think straight anymore. I took a pic at my breast and they are as flat as a pancake.
The pain almost disappeared. I still have one breast bigger than the other due to the swelling (Cressent lift and incision of the febriodenomas). I try to keep the morale up and think on the positive side. Feeling empty, fear of aging...same old issue. Just have to remind myself to be kind to myself and trust that it will all be okay. The sense of loss is there for sure. I pray that they will fluf up.

A year after my BA, I developed a capsullar...

A year after my BA, I developed a capsullar contracture on the right breast, the left breast was sagging. My right breast was about one inch higher than my left. I did not notice it immediately but had been experiencing some pulling pain on my right side that reached my underarm. I also had a swollen lymph node on the same side. It was time for my mammogram and I asked them to perform an ultrasound as well. They dicovered that I had 3 fibreodenomas, 2 of a decent size which explains the increase of pain during my period. I have a small kid at home and am an active woman. Prior to the BA, I was running and exercising regularly. Right after my BA, I have always wondered if I have made the right decision, I did not like feeling the bags of water on my chest. I was a size cup A after breast feeding, the implant gave me a small C. I decided after the complications of the BA and the finding of the fibreodenomas to have both the implants and the fibreodenomas removed at the same time. I went on line and read a review of someone who just had it done and her result looked great. I contacted the doctor, skype with him for an hour and made an appointment with the hospital. I just had them removed yesterday. I am still sore and a bit sad for having smaller breast but I feel lighter. Deeply I know that keeping them will lead to one complication to another. I am 40. And want to remain healthy and active, to live a long life and see my daughter grow. My dear sister paid for my BA in the first place, she felt sorry for me (Since all my sisters have implants, I thought why not give it a try). The breasts look small an wrinkly 1 day post Op, and I hope they will look better with time. Like anything else in life, I just need some time to get use to them. My experience with the surgeon was great, skilled and knowledgeable, he refused to do a capsuloscopy since they are saline and I only had them for a year, he said the the procedure is very bloody and will increase the time of recovery, plus I had a small incision, he did a crescent lift on my right breast and remove the fibreodenomas.

Kind, skilled, generous with his time, emailed me one hour after my inquiry on realself, emailed back and forth, constantly answered my questions, accommodating. Trust worthy. He first advised that I get a second opinion and not remove them in haste, he wanted to make sure that I would be happy with my decision.
