I have always wanted to have my nose done. Being middle eastern, I'm blessed with almond shaped brown eyes, golden skin AND a nose with a bump!!! I would envy people with small noses and when i look at pictures, i only see the bump on my nose.
I finally took the plunge and went in for a consultation with Dr. Golden. He was quite funny and very knowledgable. The consultation took about 20 minutes and before even getting to my car i knew he was the one!
On Feb 5 2015 i went in for my surgery. Super nervous and all. The staff was super calm and caring. Sat in the surgery chair and had some heart monitors attached to my fingertips and they slowly injected me with some medicine.
What is happening?? oh wait, I'm getting my nose done! I could hear Dr. Golden and Moe (MOST AMAZING NURSE) talk about what they were going to do next.
I heard my nose get broken, did i feel it?? NO.
I felt my nose get shaved, did it hurt? NO
I remember at one point they were talking about something other than surgery and i actually wanted to jump in the conversation but i couldn't and was pretty bummed about it!! HAHA
Finally i was done. I was a little groggy after surgery and that lasted about half an hour or so.
Everything was going great that evening until around 9 pm when i realized that my nose is bleeding excessively. My boyfriend called Dr. Golden and before he had a chance to hangup, he realized Dr. Golden was actually calling him to find out how Im doing.
Once he found out that my nose was bleeding a lot, he told us to meet him in his office.
We show up at the office and he just happen to pull in at the same time. we all went upstairs together and he turned all the lights on and told me to sit in the chair.
Within 3 minutes he had stopped the bleeding by packing my nose (not the best feeling in the world) and gave me some antibiotics and send me home.
The next day we went to his office and he pulled out the packing (also not the best feeling in the world), cleaned out the inside of my nose and sent me home.
I went in today (5 weeks after surgery) and he said my nose looks great and will get smaller day by day.
ultimately I'm very happy with my surgery and Dr Goldens work.
I also can not begin to tell you how amazing his staff are! Tammy, Moe and Keri. Thanks ladies.
