Double bubble

Double bubble trouble

WORTH IT$4,000
So I haven't been on here in a year as I had my BA 01/14/2013. But in the past year the double buble I have is not going away. It really bothers me even though it's not horrible. They still look great in a bathing suit and low shirts but when I'm naked you can see something is not right. So I'm going for a revision 04/10/2014 and flying back down to Alabama. He's going to try to help blend the previous breast crease with the implant by taking fat from my sides and removing scar tissue. A bit bummed I have to pay for the surgical costs and possibly other fees as it's a lot to travel from NYC but it's not horrible. I just hope it helps and I'm not crazy doing it

He is worth the trip. I will be honest and say I came down here because I couldn't afford 9000 on Long Islnd for silicone but I couldn't have received better care anywhere. Between Heather the out of care coordinator (who even texted me an hour after I got back to the hotel to see how I am!) to the down to earth nurses, the awesome Nurse anesthetist Tara to Dr. Hedden addressing all my needs. I couldn't ask for more. Granted I am writing this on my surgery date 4 hours later but so good so far, no great. But I hope it will reflect the care I received so far in my recovery and outcome. No harsh wait times like I read. I mean yea my pre-consult I was there 1.5 hours but they did a lot that day and its a plastic surgeons office.Didnt feel anyone was too busy for me, I felt they stopped anything for me. Go to him, hes worth it!

Hey, I am having surgery tomorrow 1/14/14 for implant exchange and correction of double bubble. I have already had one revisional surgery in clinic last October. Read my profile for the full stories. Good luck to you!
Are you paying for your revisions? My doc is 3 hours by plane away and is asking for 1400 to fix my double bubble and 3800 for a lift on top of everything I gave him. If he would've told me this could've happened I would've got a lift then. I'm seriously just thinking of going here in NY n paying 7000 to fix it
The first revision was free. But now I had a periareolar lift and implant exchange. My PS only charged me for the OR fees which was $1150. The implant company we went with comped the implants since we switched to them and my PS added in the lift for free.
After the way I was treated by his office because I cancelled surgery with Dr. Schaffer, I would fear for my life to go back there after pointing out that Dr. Hedden botched the original surgery. It's really a shame because it looks like he was once a really great surgeon but now his motivation is just getting more patients in the door. I've come across a lot of negative reviews about the staff but even in those reviews people are giving them 4 and 5 stars, which makes it really hard for those of us who rely on reviews to help make decisions. I do wish I had clicked on lowest ratings because unfortunately, RS defaults to highest ratings and those are the reviews I read.
Im pissed and mad! I have horrible double bubble and need it fixed. I live across the country from my PS and he wants me to pay 1400 to fix a problem he should've fixed before. I'm pissed he didn't tell me this could've happened, I had no problem paying for him to fix it with a lift. Should I throw more money at a dr in Alabama when I'm in NY or just spend 7000 for a lift here in NY?
Hi home. Please stay in NY!!! I wish I had never traveled out of state for my surgery with Dr. Hedden. It's just not worth it, no matter what savings you get up front. If there are any complications you'll end up spending a lot more money paying for revisions. Some plastic surgeons stand behind their work and perform revisions at no charge. Not Dr. Hedden. So there's no point in me going back to him with the problems he caused if I have to pay him as much as I would pay another surgeon.
Hi, I was just wondering if you had your revision last month?? I have slight double bubble but its only been a week. I hear the same thing as you, that as they settle and swelling goes down the double bubble will go away. I sure hope so!! But, your pictures do look great. YOu look fabulous in your bathing suit and it doesn't look bad. I hope your revision went well and everything turns out great for you!
I did not go. The double bubble is still very apparent but not in a bathing suit or low cut shirtS. My bf says it's not that bad and that I need to rember how bad they were before. They are symmetrical and extremely soft, more so then anyone else's I've felt with implants, which is the reason I decided not to get them fixed. I was told each time u operate a layer of tissue develops around the implant. Which is y those who always get them fixed have hard beach balls. Plus my scaring was very slow in healing bc I'm diabetic, they just got white-pink 16 months later. I do not regret it at all though! I still love them! I do wish I had gone closer and to a really good dr but the same could've happened. Mine were very bad before and I hated it everyday how I looked. I did have the bubble after one week. It probably won't go away but if yours looked like mine or u had no volume then you will love them
I'm glad you're happy with them and I also think you made a good decision skipping the revision. You really do look great!
I saw your blog. My breasts were identical to yours. I will always have the double bubble bc unless I want hard breasts n no cleavage there nothing they can do to make them perfect. I've accepted it. I love them. Always have to remember they r better then the mutated tuberous breasts we had
Wow. The tuberous breast surgery is difficult. My doc said before had there is a possibility that I may need a 2nd surgery. I don't think I will. They are looking better everyday. Did they score your tissue and release it from the muscle? OR did you just have a ba? Your breasts aren't pointy or saggy or anything. They do look great. In 10 years or so when you are ready for new ones, you can get it fixed. Until then, you look fab!!
He didn't release the muscle and I think that's where he went wrong. He did a biplanar augmentation to give the illusion of a lift or they would've sagged to my stomach. The only thing he can do is reposition them or transplant fat where the double bubble is, either way will make them harder and restart the scar healing process. I'm a diabetic so it took forever for the scar to go pink. I can't believe u got 800s, so jealous
Got it. It is best to leave them alone and they do really look good. Not worth it for the scarring alone. I think these 800cc are actually kinda heavy! I have to get back into my pilates asap and get my back stronger to hold these suckers up!! But, I needed a big size! Really glad the doc did it because I would have been totally unhappy if he would have used the 550 or 600 I wanted!! lol
Hi. You look great. I was wondering how the revision went? I use Dr Hedden too. But, I live in Birmingham, so I didn't have to travel. Hope everything is good for you.
I am glad that I came across this post. I have spent countless nights looking at reviews for this particular place because I have scheduled my surgery here, but I could only find perfect ones! I am about a 3 hour drive away so it's not that bad for me, nut I would like to think that I would not have to come back to have anything fixed. I would like for everything to be done right the first time. I'm scheduled for a lift and saline implants. Does the offered BLIS insurance not cover any of these problems that you guys have had?

If there is still any evidence of a double bubble please call the office and ask them about the shoelace technique which tends to make that go away. Hope all is well.
