My chief complaint was "turkey neck" - no neckline at all. What I needed was Platysmaplasty and face lift. I've seen good before and after photos, and had a personal recommendation.

I did TONS of research, and found Dr. Simoni to be the best option in my area - certainly better than reviews I'd read about Lifestyle Lift. A friend of a friend who had the same problem even recommended Dr. S to me. I spent 10 thousand dollars on the double procedure, and when it was all over I look almost exactly the same (possibly a bit worse). Friends and family cannot tell the difference in my appearance or in my "before" and "after" photos. Your results may vary - it seems from his website photos that Dr. Simoni has had some successes, but as far as my personal experience - he did a very very bad job, and I cannot recommend.

Response from Simoni Plastic Surgery: Dear Scott. We are sorry that we were not able to match your expectations. Looking at your photos above , It seems that these are both before pictures as there are no incision lines visible around your ear. Regardless, as we have explained to you before medicine is not an exact science, we can not alter your anatomy beyond what nature dictates. You presented your case in court on 11/15/11. After careful review of your pictures and your testimonial, the judge ruled that Dr Simoni fully performed within the standard of the care, and your results are in line with the current practice of medicine. For reader info, case # BH 11S01520 at La Superior Court. We would've appreciated if you would have respected the court's ruling, rather than misrepresenting Dr Simoni online.

Sorry about your disappointing results, really. Has your surgeon even acknowledged the over-all lack of visible improvement? I understand that a procedure is not going to have the exact same results for every patient, but as a basic professional responsibility - he's accepted your payment, and owes you *some* kind of benefit - has he even proposed any follow-up? (And I don't mean more money, I mean simply some delivery on what you've already paid for.) It doesn't look like there was any micro-lipo done at all, and with the amount of flesh below your jaw in the "before", clearly something should have been removed before there could be any lifting... You are taking it better than I think I would, so my respects for that. I'd have been camped out in his lobby.

Response to "Payman Simoni": Regardless of how it "seems", the truth is that the "before" photograph was taken the morning of my surgery, and the "after" was taken 5 weeks later. But thanks for making my point. I agree with you that they both look like "before" photos, as there was not the slightest bit of improvement. It's now been another 1.5 years, and it looks considerably worse now. I'd pay to have my old neck back! Not a SINGLE day goes by that I don't regret having the procedure. Because I like Dr. Simoni, I did not mention the lawsuit - completely left it out of my Review. However since you brought it up....I sued Dr. Simoni for Fraud not Malpractice. The judge did NOT rule that Dr. Simoni performed within the standard of care - that is a complete fabrication. The judgment said no more, no less than it was not the opinion of the judge that Dr. Simoni committed Fraud. I have in no way misrepresented Dr. Simoni online, or elsewhere. I believe that you have done a disservice to Dr. Simoni by posting here...and bringing up the lawsuit. You should have respected the fact that I said he was recommended to me by a happy patient, and that his website does show he has helped some patients, and that this was just my personal terrible experience. However I suppose you feel that that it's your job as office manager to comment on any negative review, and make the patient look bad.

There is a slight improvement over the before shot, but I would also be dissatisfied with such a minor improvement. Sorry this didn't work out better for you.

Hi Scott -- Thanks for sharing your story. I can see a difference in your photos, but not a huge one. Are you completely healed in the "after" pic (i.e. not swollen or anything)? I'm sorry to hear about your lack of results. :(
