IT'S OFFICIALLY ON THE FLAT SIDE!!!
Today is post op DAY 1. Pain is manageable. I spent 1 night in the aftercare surgery facility and it was worth every penny of the $850 (including the gurney transport.). I got up and walked hunched over and did fine. I went home and my hubby has a corner set up for me on the sofa so I'm in the middle of the action. For the most part I have been dozing in and out trying to remember when to take my medications. Anybody know of a good iPhone app that tracks and reminds when to take medicine?
My back hurts so bad!!! This hunching over is for the birds. Dr. J said he removed more skin than anticipated so it was crucial that I remain hunched over until my post op appt meant on 4/15. I'll post again tomorrow.

FLATSIDE HERE I COME!!!
Well today has finally arrived - surgery day! I arrived at the surgery center at 9am SHARP for a 10am surgery. Filled out what seemed like a book of consent forms. Said my goodbyes to my hubby who looked more emotional than I did. Off to the back! Had to pee in a cup to make sure In not pregnant (standard policy). I was escorted back to my room where they went over anesthesia, gave me some compression socks, and answered any other questions I had before Dr. J comes in. I am surgery #2 and I could hear music playing. He was listening to a variety of music - "Eye of the Tiger", "I Don't Care", to some other techno songs I didn't recognize! So far everybody was super nice and we're trying to make sure I was as comfortable as possible before it was my turn. I will post pics later of the before markings when Dr. J comes in. Pray for me ya'll and for those having surgery today - safe and speedy recoveries!

I saw Dr. Payam Jarrah-Nejad aka "Dr. J online and made my appointment based off of his online before and after pics. During my consultation both my husband and myself had a good vibe and feeling about DR. J. He was HONEST! He told my upfront after my examination that it would be best to lose weight because I had intra abdominal fat. I feel comfortable with him and that was something I was looking for in my search for a doctor.
