I have almond shaped eyes and they had become...

I have almond shaped eyes and they had become saggy and my right eye was WAY saggier than the left. I had general anesthesia as I did not feel comfortable being "awake" during the procedure. I was put to sleep and woke up groggy, but nothing I didn't expect. I was very swollen, but I knew that would get worse the first few days. My eyes bruised a lot during the firist few days. I had done tons of reserach before I actually chose the right doctor and decided that a little scar was worth removing these saggy lids! I was very bruised and swollen, peaking on day 3, then slowly improving. I followed my post op instructions religiously. Iced, applied ointment. I had my frozen peas and gauze ready when I go home and iced as instructed. The peas were the best, because they are light weight, yet they mold inside the sockets, so they are very comfortable. I would apply a soft gauze, wet it with saline, as it got "stuck" once when dry. I took a multi vitamin, arnica, bromelain and vitamin c 1000 mg. The stiches were removed on day 6, and I actually chose this date, over day 7, as I had a suspision I would heal fast. The stitches were starting to get imbedded so I am gad I did! I am 1 month post op and I am VERY happy so far. I know the redness in the incision will take time to fade. I feel more youthful, awake, less tired looking. My eyelids are now as symmetrical as possible (no one is 100% symmetrical) I can cover the redness with makeup, and no one has noticed I had anything done, unless I tell them. If you see a before and after photo side by side you see a HUGE difference, but my doctor was so skilled that he gave me a very natural result. He told me that "no one will notice" and now I appreciate what he meant. He removed 5 mm from my droopier eye, I am not positive, but I think he took 2mm or 3mm from left. I had absolute faith in his skills.

Dr. Massry was recommended by my Dermatologist, who I trust VERY MUCH. When I entered Dr. Massry's office I felt instantly at ease. I had gone to see other doctors and everyone was stiff, fake and looked very "done". All the ladies at Dr. Massry's office are beautiful and NATURAL. Ana was AMAZING! Very nice and helpful. She was professional, yet warm, she always answered my questions. She was very prompt to respond to any questions or concerns. She was reassuring and sweet. The other doctor I consulted over 2 years ago was a bit cocky and I just got a gut feeling that he was not for me. Dr. Massry noticed within seconds, something I had NEVER really noticed. My right eye was 1mm larger than my left. I just thought that my left was a bit "lazy" as my vision is not as good in the left eye. The other doctor I consulted with only noticed eyebrow assymetry which is an absolute joke, because you can pluck and draw in brows and it has ZERO effect on the lids etc. Dr. Massry is very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable. I had researched him so much before the consultation, and all the reviews were excellent. He also "fixes" other people's mistakes, which is exacty what I wanted to avoid. He does reconstructive surgery on people with deformities, and I truly respect that. He is an artist and an expert, you don't go to an amateur! These are your eyes. 1 mm makes a difference, so you want a meticulous expert. He has an EXCELLENT eye, and I was so impressed with the fact that he saw my assymetry. When I asked what my incison would look like, he grabbed a piece of paper and drew it with such ease ( I didn't ask him to, but I LOVED that he did), I knew at that moment, this is was the right doctor for me! I could not wait to schedule my surgery! Mine was a very simple skin upper blepharoplasty, so he said he could do it the day before Christmas Eve! Perfect time to be on vacation! Everything went smoothly, and I had faith, even when I saw my incisions "looked" different at first, I had to trust him. He reassured me and answered my questions and concerns. I know it will keep getting better and I am glad I chose Dr. Massry!
