Dr. Lee did an amazing job on my eyelid surgery...
Dr. Lee did an amazing job on my eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. I'm only 9 days post op but I can see the results and it's exactly what I never really knew I wanted. Let me explain.
Before this, I was overall very happy with face and my features.. but I'm a perfectionist so I always knew my features could be "enhanced." I wasn't really in the market for plastic surgery but my friend got some procedures and talked me into going to a consultation. I did some (a lot) of research; if you're asian, want both eyelid surgery / rhinoplasty, and want a surgeon who will make you literally look like the absolute best version of yourself, you're going to go to Dr. Lee. Seriously. If you look at his blog on his website, you can see a lot of the full-face surgeries he's done and it's absolutely amazing. The essence of the person is still the same but all features maxed out to their absolute potential.
I didn't really go into this with any look or preference in mind (just said "natural"). I generally tend to think that the surgeon doing these surgeries can probably visualize what your best "enhanced" features should look like so I didn't want to tamper. It helps control expectations and I was extremely impressed by his previous work so I was confident in the doctor's choices.
THANK GOD. It looks amazing. I wasn't completely blindsided, Dr. Lee let me know what he was planning on doing but the end result is great. Honestly though, the most amazing thing is how it's healing. From my non-medical minded perspective, it looked like the incisions were sewn back together with the skin step by step overlapping each other if that makes any sense. I do have thin skin so I was expecting relatively quick healing but not this.. I wasn't prepared for this. My skin is seamlessly melting back together. 9 days post-op, certain parts of my eyelid have NO SCAR. No scar, no scab, the skin just melted back together. Of course this will be different for every patient so YMMV but if you have thin skin and you heal relatively fast, you're in damn good hands. Also note, he's done thousands of surgeries for asian eyes and noses so his experience is extremely extensive.
The rest of the office staff is great, super nice and warm. The nurse for my surgery, Misako, is the absolute best. She's super genuine, fun to talk to and has set the bar for any future nurses I encounter.
The healing process was pretty standard for me, Dr. Lee will brief you on what he expects for your process and mine was accurate to what he told me.
