That's it. Just could not believe who was looking...

That's it. Just could not believe who was looking back at me in the mirror. I did not like the jowls. My motivation was simply to like what I saw in the mirror and now I do.

Did it get me more dates? No. Feel happier? I was already happy. Did I do it for someone else? No. Just me. Don't have this surgery if you are doing it for any other reason than because you want to do it.

This was an experience in and of itself. An Italian and a Jewish woman from New York, the chemistry was good. But was she a good surgeon? Well, I love the outcome and I must say she went beyond the "extra mile". I was stupid enough to get on an airplane and head to Tucson in June but it was necessary. I also helped a friend with an important project which I should have never done. Needless to say I ended up with a very serious infection behind both ears. Dr. Lee had just had urgent surgery herself and was at home healing but we kept in touch daily. I texted photos and she was there if I needed to talk. She also came back to her office a few days early to see my progress in person. She had me return every week until she was comfortable I was healing properly. Then, in order to minimize the scarring from the infection, she provided treatments that, with time, faded the scars. I didn't ask if there would be additional fees but I never received another bill. My goal was not to look 10 years younger but to look good, in my eyes. Only those close to me with whom I shared this experience know I had surgery. At my reunion I saw a number of women who "had a facelift"-you can just tell. Those friends who knew said they would never have know had surgery had I not told them. It had been 10 years since I saw many of them and they said I had not changed a bit. That was my goal and Dr. Lee helped me achieve it.
