Wow! I was incredibly impressed with my overall...
Wow! I was incredibly impressed with my overall patient experience with Dr. Sam Naficy and his entire staff. The in-office experience was always a pleasure, and i felt highly informed from the very first consultation, to the pre-op meeting, the procedure itself, and thru to the post-op followup. Everyone was beyond courteous and helpful, helped me to understand any risks, and to set my expectations with regard to the post-op recovery experience.
Most importantly the procedure itself (chin augmentation) yielded FANTASTIC results. I was exceedingly pleased with the result, which surpassed my own expectations. Dr. Naficy took a careful and thoughtful approach, listening to my objectives, while expertly balancing his own professional assessment (i.e. filtering out some of the undoubtably neurotic concerns of the patient!). Dr. Naficy was the consummate great listener, always intelligent, informative, articulate, and friendly. As a result, I felt the aesthetic outcome (now 2.5 weeks after) to be the perfect balancing of fixing some visual issues i was having with my profile, but not going overboard in changing my overall look. As a working professional in his late forties, it was important that I not lose my prior persona. The fact that Dr. Naficy took this into account when selecting size of chin implant, how much sculpt off, and positioning was greatly appreciated.
As an aside, I was also pleasantly surprised by the overall impact of a good chin implant and I would highly recommend this type of procedure for anyone who is considering strengthening their profile, in advance of other facial aesthetic procedures. At least in my case, fixing the chin solved for a number of ancillary aesthetic issues i had prior concerns about (my nose now appears the right size, some "jowliness" of the cheeks appear much more diminished).
Once the procedure was performed, i suffered less than expected swelling, and no bruising at all. While that result might be atypical, i was very pleased with the office staff's more than adequate post-op instructions on dealing with pain and swelling management. The office had proactively prescribed some pain meds ahead of time that worked great to alleviate what relatively little pain I had.
Bottomline, I highly recommend Dr. Sam Naficy, as I simply cannot imagine how you can do better (either locally or in another metropolitan area).
