20 Years Old and a Bit Apprehensive! 32GG - 32D Hopefully - Belfast, UK

Hi! I am a 20 year old student awaiting my breast...

Hi! I am a 20 year old student awaiting my breast reduction (currently a 32GG) on the NHS, I'm due to have it done in roughly 6 weeks and I'm so nervous. I only went for a consultation to see if it was right for me but one look at my proportions (4'11 and a size 8) with boobs this size and she said it was the right thing to do. So I'm booked in and I feel its all gone too fast without the chance to ask questions!
All you lovely ladies who've had it done, can I ask a few things?! Did you not feel like you weren't you anymore after the surgery? I know we are more than the sum total of our breasts but after years of being labelled as such I'm nervous about what to expect afterwards. I'm in a lot of pain in my back and shoulders, particularly in the mornings and I'd love to be able to exercise but I know that with being so young I'm not as uncomfortable as I will be in a few years when they start to drop and look less youthful! I do reckon I'll have zero regrets i just worry my situation isn't bad enough yet to merit having it done! Also, do your nipples still work after? like I don't mind so much about the feeling in them but will they still go hard and soft? I can find no information on this anywhere, probably because its an odd question haha. I'll put some photos up shortly and then continue updating my journey on here! Everyone who has had it done is such an inspiration, hope all the recoveries are going well!!xxxxxx

Welcome to the community.  The only thing I felt after my reduction was amazing.  It gives you a total boost in confidence and that is wonderful.  No regrets at all so just stay positive.

Here is a link to some information on Nipple Sensation After Breast Reduction.  You will find this helpful.

My nipple sensation came back quickly.  They were almost hyper sensitive for a while.  One was slower than the other though.  I walked around with one head light for a while...LOL

Haha thanks so much for the response! I was so worried theyd always just be... flat lol. If you had any stretch marks before, did they improve ever? Mine are so tiny and only visible in certain lights but I worry that tightening the skin and then the breasts growing again might worsen them! Congrats on your surgery!
I had a few, but very light.  still just a coupe little ones but not bad.
