Pros: slight difference on profile.

Cons: tip still bolbus, nose swells to more than the original size in the mornings.

Got the surgery to reduce size of nose to fit my face. I may have emphasized to the doctor too much that i wanted a slight and natural difference that still reduced the size. It almost looks like I never got surgery, and it can't be too much swelling - it's been 7 months!

I understand it's difficult to answer questions without being in-person, however I'm seeking general answers. I got my rhinoplasty 7 months ago and was wondering if this is still too early to determine if my nose will keep changing or not. It's still just as big - could it still be swollen?

My Doctor: name not provided

He was an arrogant jack*** who probably played cards while i was under and forgot to operate on my identical looking nose.

Your nose could definitely still be swollen. It can actually take up to a year for all of the swelling to go away, especially in the tip.

Here's a related thread with lots of answers from doctors: After rhinoplasty, how long should the swelling last?

you may have damaged cartilage. Try sleeping on your back and learn to avoid contact as it may injure easily at this point. It could also be sensitive to other factors such as sunlight and very hot temps.

It takes about 18 months for all the swelling to be gone after most rhinoplasties. At 7 months, however, you should be seeing some improvement and some positive changes. If you have thick skin, you might need some steroid injections. You should consult your surgeon.

It would be helpful if you could post pics of before and after. Sometimes, when YOU are the person doing the judging, opinions can be skewed a bit. Also, did you go to a Facial Plastic Surgeon?
