Funny Shape Lips After Filler - Bedford, NY

I had my lips done around 3 days ago but I used a new formula called volbella it's from juverderm but it's a new version apparently less swelling and what you see is what you get straight away! I did get swelling slightly but I feel my Dr injected bottom of the top lip so much I look weird! Thoughts

After one week

Where else would you put the filler? As it looks slightly fuller on the edges? Like an overlap!

Great guy willing to help, not sure if he should remove it? Is it any best procedure and maybe to more the top although don't want trout lips?

I honestly think they look great!! I'm thinking of doing my upper lip as well. Just did my cheeks, and love it.

Thanks for sharing on RealSelf.  I do see what you are talking about in your upper lip- do you think it might be residual swelling?

I've done fillers in the past, and i think i tend to worry a little the first few days after injections. I stare too long sometimes, and start noticing all the little quirks and such. I usually end up taking a photo and compare it to an old photo, that typically helps. I will say that there will always be a bit of swelling after any puncturing of the skin. While fillers and injection techniques have greatly improved so that swelling will be reduced. Its virtually impossible to guarantee that every patient will have the same experience when it comes to how a body reacts. Honestly, yes, your first two photos look a little odd, but considering your angle, and the way you're posing, I'd say anyone would look odd in that close-up of a photo, at that angel. The last photo you took being natural and relaxed looks great! I'd say you got great results, but there's no before picture to go by, and I'm not sure what type of look you are going for. It may help to call the Dr's office and discusses how you're feeling.

Thank you for your answer! I have been back to see him and as you can see in the middle of lips needs more filler as my sides are bigger than the middle part that's why it looks so weird when I smile! I don't know what I was trying to achieve but I wanted a filler edge without looking ducky but he didn't want to put it around my lip border but now I feel like my lip shape has changes and it looks more rounded underneath my top lip! I'll see if I can get a picture before! Yes the photo is exaggerated when I smile like this but it's the way I could show you! He did say he will fill in my bottom lip slightly more! He said he was trying to create volume instead of definition! But prior to my treatment I did say I want a crisper edge without that duck look but he said I'll get a roll and he isn't sure himself

Thank you again! It's been a week can it go down anymore? I always looked at lips when there filled and thought I never want a oversized pink over my teeth on the edges but look what I have! This may look better when he fills in a little more in the middle where my dip is

I'm glad you adressed your concerns with your Dr. Saw the newer picture, think it looks great! Fillers are tricky, and your diligence has payed off, do you think you'll change Drs?
