After being pregnant twice with extremely large babies i developed severe rectus diastasis. It's been 7 months since my second baby was born but i still look like i am about to give birth. I lost most of the pregnancy weight. Under normal circumstances i am 125 lb and right now i am 134 lb. So far i have not had any luck finding a doctor who has experience with my condition. I would love any help or recommendations.Thank you

You poor thing! I am not any help with a doctor but I hope with all the different circumstances that are on this site someone is out there who has been in your shoes and can you give you some useful information. Have you posted a question for the doctors. That seems like it would be a good resource here. Best of luck.
the bay area should have great PS. surprised no one there will do it. perhaps they will need 2 procedures. post question for doctors on this site. they must reply.it is the deal they made to be on the site, and they all seem to be excellent! so they will answer you. good luck! also, you might want to send photos to dr ricardo rodrigez in baltimore he has a site in which he replies weekly to questions, and if he does not do it, he might recommend someone to consult with if you ask him. they will not recommend if you do not ask,and be sure to say you are not asking if you should schedule with someone, just asking for a suggestion as to who else you might consult with. good luck!
Thank you very much! i will try contacting doctor that you suggested.
I would have figured there would be some very good surgeons in the Bay Area who could handle the muscle repair you are needing. I agree with the others, post a question to the doctors on the site and see what they suggest. You may even be able to get them to refer a colleague they think would be able to help you. Good luck in your search and pending surgery.
My stomach looks identical to yours, I have the same problem. My youngest is 16 months. I did 20 days of the Insanity workout program while at my desired weight, 5'5" and 130, My arms and legs look great but my stomach remains unchanged. I stopped the program because I am now pregnant with my third child. I was really hoping exercise would do the trick but after 20 days of Insanity I am so discouraged. I really don't want surgery to fix it, but it's either that or just look 6 months pregnant for rest of my life. I am going to exhaust all options of a non surgery solution first.
you cannot fix it with exercise. i am sorry to tell you. exercise tightens muscle, but with separation it cannot work. exercise does not reduce the fat content in that area. fat needs to be reduced with a specific diet to keep up the fat burning hormones which are depleted with most diets. but even if you get the fat overlying the muscle, the separation of muscle along linea alba is still there. it needs to be sewn.
well at least for the fat part, you can do shaun hadsell's 14 day fat loss plan.it will get something . the looser fat.google it. 27 dollars.i think you can do this pregnant but get permission. you alternate carb days and leaner days.it maintains the leptin hormone.
