So Far So Good - Bay Area, CA

I just got invisalign today and so far I can already feel movement. They don't feel sore yet. But I'll have to see how I feel tomorrow morning. The first time I tried to take the trays out I felt soooo frustrated! They were in there so tight that I couldn't get them out. I panicked! I found that its easy if I put on rubber gloves to get a better grip. Now I think I have the hang of it. I will keep you posted on my progress along with pictures

Today is day 2 of having invisalign. I woke up this morning and my teeth feel pretty good. Not that sore at all. I thought I was going to be in a lot of pain but it actually feels alright. They definitely feel tight but that just means that it's working. Taking them in and out is getting a lot easier now. I still have to use the rubber gloves but I can actually get them to wiggle now. More to come! Stay tuned! :)

Today is 1 week since I have had invisalign. The first couple of days my lips were so dry but that finally went away. They are starting to feel less tight now. I think the biggest thing that I have noticed is my snacking. I feel like I have lost some weight. Mainly because I choose not to snack and not go through the hassle of taking them in and out. Also alcoholic beverages are out too. I hardly feel that I have them on. I'm getting used to it. Overall it has been good :)

Just put in 3rd tray today! I love putting on a fresh pair and I love the tightness. My teeth are slowly but surely moving and I can't wait to see more results. I haven't had any problems with them. The only thing is going out on weekends to restaurants. I feel like I leave them out longer than I should. But I think it's ok. Anyway I'll update some pictures as soon as I get to a computer. :)

I just put in tray 6!! Everything is going pretty smooth. I'm always sore just the first 2 days after a new tray but then after that I don't feel anything. I still haven't seen any major changes but it's mostly the back teeth that are moving right now. My bite feels different too. They are really easy. The only bug about them is that you have to always take them out when you eat like at restaurants. It can be a pain to snack. Other than that I am so used to them now. I can't wait for more movement.

Just put in tray 8! Yay! It's going by quickly! It's been almost 4 months now since I've had them. Crazy! Still not too much movement in the front. Still waiting for my front teeth to show some improvement but it is still early. I'll keep updating :)

I get to put in tray 19 tomorrow. I'll be honest, I have been a little lazy on wearing them. Instead of 22 hours a day I wear them about 18. And sometimes less than that. I'm starting to get worried. I hope I didn't mess anything up. I can tell my front teeth are looking good but I feel like my bottom teeth haven't moved at all. I have 6 trays to go and then I'm done. I just hope they will be straight by then. At this point I have doubts but trying to keep positive

Hi!! So I completed all of my 24 trays! BUT I wasn't happy with my bottom teeth. They didn't feel perfectly straight so my dentist tightened a new molded tray and I'll be wearing that for another week. After that it should be pretty good. Im excited to not have to wear the trays all the time. I only have to wear them at night or at least 12 hours. So if your wondering if you should get invisilign? I would say yes!

Pros:
nobody ever notices them. They really are invisible!

I love how my teeth turned out!

I get compliments on how great my teeth look!

Cons:
trying to keep them clean (I recommend cleaning them with a tooth brush everyday) or they turn yellow and stink!

Taking them in and out can be a pain!

Also a tip! They say wear them for 22 hours a day but I wore them about 17 hours. Don't beat yourself up over it if you don't wear them for 22.

Well that's it! Go get yourself a pair of invisalign! It's worth it! And a year goes by fast!!! Good luck

Oh and I'll post pictures tomorrow!! Bye!

Yeah, it would be a bit tricky to keep your trays on if you are out at restaurants & such on the weekends. I'm guessing you wear them the full amount of time during the week though(??) so hopefully it won't slow your progress at all.

Excited to see your pictures!!

Thanks for posting an update! Several other community members have mentioned noticing weight loss from not snacking as much too - to many its a nice little unexpected bonus!

I'm glad you are getting used to them. I'll be looking forward to hearing when you start to notice change in your teeth.

You are certainly not alone in panicking when first trying to get your trays out. I've read reviews where people said they got so frustrated they started to cry.

Here is a forum that talks about that very thing:

"How do you get your Invisalign trays out?"

Please keep us updated on how you are doing!
