3 week anniversary!
I'm almost feeling like my old self again. I started lifting weights again (cardio alone is so, so boring). I am going really light and not doing anything that requires me to raise my arms over my head; mostly lower body stuff but it's better than nothing. My weight is back to normal so the bloating is finally gone. I am enjoying my new body and they are starting to feel like they're really mine. They are dropping and fluffing nicely, I think!
Post Op Follow Up Appt
I went back to Dr. Pelletiere yesterday for follow up. Everything went well. He said that I'm healing nicely. I'm still having a bit of discomfort and itching at the incision sites, but, I suppose that is normal. He showed me how to massage them to get them to soften up and drop more. They actually already feel softer to me, but, the massages feel great, so I'll definitely do them.
I just can't say enough good things about Dr. P. He is just simply the best. I work for a large hospital in Chicago and I interact with physicians a lot. Dr. P is just so much more down to earth, easy going and easy to talk to. We joke a lot and he really seems to care about how his patients feel both physically and emotionally, before and after surgery. I highly, highly recommend him to anyone considering this procedure.
And the best news....He cleared me to return to the gym!! For cardio only but, that's better than nothing! I tried to go this morning but, it seems I'll first need to buy larger Lululemon tops. See picture! I don't think I want this much attention at the gym!

Day 5
I'm still having some pain, mostly around the incision sites but overall, feeling much better. I went out shopping for awhile yesterday and I'm able to walk the dog again. The bloating has set in and that has me so depressed. Everyone told me not to go near the scale for a couple weeks, but I did and it was up 12 freaking pounds from the day of surgery!! I am ready to get back to my old self and get in the gym but I have to be patient. Here are some pics from today.

The consultation with Dr. P went very well. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. I followed up a few weeks later with more questions via email and he answered quickly. His office staff were friendly and helpful.
