So far I am unhappy and scared that my procedure went wrong. After 5 days my face is still very swollen , very red and tender and now massive 5 cm cold sore developed. I have swollen glands, pain, and NOW I read that cold sores after fraxel lead to scars, and NOW I see that many, many women are regretting doing it. I never been told about it on my pre consultation, I feel stupid that I did not find out this site before. What I have been told ( what an ignorant I am) that all is pure magic and bliss. My partner ( lawyer) said that I look older and if I will not go back to what I have been before he will sue them. LOL at this but I am scared. My heavily discounted first treatment was supposed to lead to more purchases of 3 to 4 next ones after this. I declined and then the princess like customer service cooled down. Sorry to disappoint some of you but I am regretting it.

The procedure was done at the very prestigious dermatological and beauty enhancing clinique, and mine was done by a nurse . Very expensive originally about $ 1500 for one treatment. I received the heavy discount based on promotion but I was almost coerced to buy next 3 -4 treatment at the full price, based on excellent prognosis after first one. They put big preside on me to pay for all of it even before I was done with the first discounted one. Well, maybe others have good experience and good outcome. I would turn the time back if I could. My skin is drier, less supple and I have deep wrinkles where my cold sore was. Still have crusty patches, this is 14 th day today. I would say that no change for better at all, my two dark spots of sun keratosis are still there unchanged. I go very easily red and sort of swollen in air conditioned rooms, (not before) and generally unhappy. Thought I did not pay a fortune, still think that it was not worth even $400 I paid. I was given a document to sign with all side risk etc, 5 min before , while laying on a bed already. And that dreadful cold sore warning was never discussed with me on my pre consultation session. I would have at least got a medication for it few days before. If I knew. So in conclusion, today was my first day back at work and no one noticed anything but scars after cold sores. How funny. They always can say that it does not work after first one if I complained, but I remember they told me I will see the difference after first treatment when I was discussing it on my pre treatment consultation. I could be paranoid but I think I have more wrinkles around the eyes than before.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your bad experience. May I ask if it's a physician who did the fraxel? You did not pay very much compared to the costs here in Canada and I wonder if it was just a technician. We pay over 1500/tx if it's done by a doctor. We have to fill out paperwork, read tons of info and are told all the s/e's first. I had a great experience...hope you feel better soon..
